"This mix came about through a joke between Just Bee and I. In 2020 I started learning Cantonese, which she has helped with occasionally, including teaching me the word for vinyl, "hak gau." When I agreed to record a mix for Unchained, Bee asked if I would be doing it "hak gau" to which I decided, "Actually, I will." Because I included many vinyl-only jungle tunes the sound is thoroughly old school, though I tried to keep a modern flare by including a few footwork and half time tracks."

Taking his name from the newspeak of Orwell’s 1984, PlusGood has been DJing for over a decade, first in Washington, DC and now in San Francisco. His sets explore jungle futurism while remaining loyal to the foundation of breakbeat hardcore and dub. Marked by warm analog pads, muscular breaks, and mystic vibe, PlusGood has been fortunate enough to make connections across the globe, playing Membrain Festival in Croatia, the Rupture 10th anniversary in London, and parties in Hong Kong.

Welcome back to the Land Of Song for a VERY special episode of Cwm Dancing! 

Destination Love Trails Festival; a unique and beautiful gathering where wellness plays a lead role and leg shaking comes in a variety of flavours… Running, raving and many wholesome pursuits in between. PLUS loads of sick Welsh music! 

A different setting and style to our previous shows but still the same passion for homegrown music, expect the usual wide-armed eclectic selection and interviews with inspiring characters operating in the Welsh music landscape, it's Cwm Dancing ... This time Jimmy Watkins from the game-changing Running Punks collective. 

Complete with a whole stack of exclusive, unreleased music we guarantee you've never heard, and a 40 minute mix of strictly Welsh drum & bass, this was a beautiful experience and one we'd love to repeat in the future.

Cwm Dancing returns to your speakers with a special late summer vibe-out. A moment to unwind from the intensity of the season, host and curator Dave Columbo Jenkins digs deep for the best musical escapism coming out of Welsh artists and Welsh labels  right now.

This month's episode features two super deep interviews. First up is Huw Marc Bennett who talks in depth about his influences, the importance of culture, the complexities of the Welsh identity and his beautiful new album Days Like Now.

Secondly we have the Running Man who guides us through the inspiring Beat Science event concept along with a sublime mix of incredible unsigned Welsh talent. And if that's not quite enough, Kaptin is back with his own hot picks, all influenced by his recent trip to NYC where he was present at the 50th anniversary of hip-hop this month.
