What began as a loose idea to compile a few demos into a playlist and shine a light on some unsigned music has now become something much bigger as 1 More Thing activates its label module.  

All the interviews, podcasts, videos, playlists and news from the platform, but now with added musical dispatches, 1 More Tune Vol 1 sets the agenda: a bumper-packed special free download to set the scene and map the parameters. 

Every genre from hardcore to UKG via jungle, beats, dubstep, drum & bass and straight up unclassifiable can be found on this 40+1 track collection. 

Flavours from every corner of the world, all brought together by rave and breakbeat ingredients. Talented and uncompromising souls united from UK to US, NZ to NL via Ireland, Germany, Hungary, France, Armenia and Singapore. 
This is the sound of the future, this is the sound of 1 More Thing. 

I would like to thank every artist who’s contributed to this album and future volumes of 1 More Tune and trusted me with their music. I’ve been super inspired by the sheer amount of talent I’ve been exposed to through these demo submissions and my mission now is to amplify it to the world. We’re just warming up here.

Welcoming PhoroptiC back once again since his last release with us which was a free download. Mario Herbst is an Austrian, 30 year old producer and DJ. Amongst releasing with us here at Identity, he’s taken reigns at Pick ’n’ Mix, Sub-Division Recordings & more. In recent times inspiration comes from the likes of :- Division, Waeys and Levela but when he started producing 10 years ago, inspiration came in the form of ‘Pendulum’ which lead to the pursuit of what we are watching today

This release is set to shock sets throughout its release and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do, also featuring a remix from DIS:TURBED which is deep to the core.

So here we have it, the final release from us at Yamatai Records for 2022, and what a year it has been!

After almost a year of planning, with countless hours of scouting fresh talent to represent Yamatai, back and forth with art designers to get the right design and multiple final track touch-ups we can finally introduce the 20 track monster the 'Genesis VA'.

This VA includes lots of amazing upcoming talent in the Drum & Bass scene all of who have their own unique sound and style. Featuring artists who have released on Delta 9, Engage Audio, Program, Forbidden Frequencies, 4 Corners, Sinful Maze and Incurzion Audio we have a very very talented bunch of artists on this VA.

To make the thank you even better for the support this year the 'Genesis' VA is a free download with two release dates, starting on December the 16th and then the final release on January 6th.

I would personally like to thank all the artists involved in this huge project and for being so cooperative, also a shout out to Trigo Designs for whipping up such a beautiful album cover but also a massive thank you to R3IDY [R3 Masters] for being patient, and getting these tracks sounding incredible.

I am super excited to finally share this project with you, and I can't wait to see what you think :)
