Summer 2024… The sweltering heat of late stage capitalist greed causes blurry vision and fuzzy minds. Or is that the fecal matter in our drinking water? 

Skorpion scuttles into view. He dashes out from the shade of a gas guzzling 4x4 that’s never seen a spec of off-road dirt, he weaves around the discarded blueberry jizz flavoured disposable vapes and gnaws on the remains of a discarded but fully functioning iPhone. 

Families were brutally displaced for the cobalt used in the device but it’s an old model so it’s been tossed aside like yesterday’s jam. 

The heat beats down on our trusty arachnid. He slurps the remaining drips of coltan. Spicy. It gives him the pep he needs to continue with his research.  These are his findings so far…
