A lot of people ask this question. Even NoDave's very own mother mutters it several times a day but she's never had much of an ear for a gully rhythm (in all due respect) 

Luckily NoDave has. You might already be acquainted. You might know his croaky voice from Vision Radio every week. But you might not know that his selections and blends are just as ruffff. And weird. And prone to get very very fizzy.

Back behind the decks after 10 years break focusing on his music journalism career, NoDave is making up for lost time. He plays more genres than you've got teeth. He keeps 20 tonnes of unreleased music in his knicker drawer and has marmite on dubs for breakfast.

Gather round and hear the Peculiar Tale Of Scartip & NoDave: Two roosters, both packing intoxicating collections of fiendish oddities, curios and exclusives. Boosted and bolstered by fresh designs straight out of Scartip’s laboratory and unheard forthcoming releases from NoDave’s platform 1 More Thing; we guarantee you’ve never heard a musical conversation like this. Much of this music has never been played publicly before!

Unplanned, in the moment, highly vibey: Bare witness to two friends playing Good Cop / Bad Cop with their tunes. Both spinning a merry dance around each other, giving space for one another’s whimsy but always building up the vibe. 

We’ve been here before. The tempo will always invariably end up around the drum & bass and jungle zone - that is where these two kindred spirits met, where they’re both rooted and best known in - but a trip like is far beyond any type of genre boundary or description. 

From soul to disco to oddball curve-balls by way of every shape and size of misfit beat-base music that comes to mind at the moment, there is no other mix like this! 

It’s a perfect time to drop such a sonic saga, too… We’re in that weird, hazy vortex. Not quite Christmas any more, not quite New Year yet. We’re not going to truly know what day or time it is until 2025. So screw it. Let time do that melty thing as we have just the soundtrack.

To highlight, celebrate and amplify the sh!t out of this explosive vibe union, we’ve got a very special guest mix. Please welcome the return of NoDave! 
AKA the voice of Vision Radio, AKA the bossman at 1 More Thing, AKA music journalist lifer who’s dedicated his career and most waking hours to this culture AKA Dave Columbo Jenkins… The first guest DJ to take to Volks’ coveted controls on this super-loaded weekender!

ATTENTION: This is not his first rodeo! When Vision came to town and made their Brighton debut last summer NoDave totally tore the place to pieces. He tells us he’s going to do it again, too.

You can be the judge of that. Have a buzz on this exclusive extended tour-de-cosmos and get a full flavour of the Vision Radio host, his acerbic take on the last 30 years of bass music and his inability to sit still.
