From burning CDs as a teenager to captivating dancefloors with his dj sets , Mehdi’s musical journey has been shaped by sonic curiosity and a love of analogue aesthetics. Born in Constantine, raised in Cairo, and later settling in Paris, his sound carries the imprint of cross-continental underground scenes.

Drawn to French Touch at the age of 13, he quickly became fascinated by how tracks were made, first asking his mother, then his teachers, before diving into production courses. This early passion led him to study Music Technology and earn a Master’s in Audio Engineering, all while cutting his teeth as a DJ with CDJ-1000s. The evolution to vinyl mixing soon followed and is now central to his craft.

His music defies rigid definitions but leans into machine-driven topography, built through live jams on hardware sequencers and groove boxes. Every track is different, shaped by instinct rather than formula.

Mehdi’s studio is a playground for hardware lovers, with the Sequentix Cirklon orchestrating a setup that includes the Waldorf Microwave, SH-101, Moog Minitaur, Yamaha RS700. In 2022, he launched his label, Sonic Expression, followed by a year-long collaboration with Ryan Elliott to craft an EP designed for big stages. Now, his journey has reached a new peak— with his Live debut at the seminal venue, Panorama Bar.
