Jacob was kind enough to host us in NYC last summer after a Commend in store and we spent the night chatting about music, upcoming projects and life in general. Turns out we're very much on the same page in our tastes so it's a pleasure to host this recording. Words from Jacob below: 

This mix was recorded live a year ago as a declaration of the music I was listening to at the time; a culmination of artists/sounds I’d worked with, and others that long informed my listening habits. I’d often toyed with the idea of taking background sounds and interpolating them with more accessible sounds in my mixes, and this I think does that, with a heavy emphasis on melody and  rhythm, as well as a plethora of mid-late 80s v/a mailorder compilations full of otherwise unknowns and one-offs (those records being some of the most enjoyable listens).

Includes music by: Alvin Curran, PWOG, Luc Marianni / Zex Pitron, R. Girardin, Y. Yoshikawa, and more.
