The Return of Afrobeat Punk 
E. Grizzly's Experiment known as Felipe Pupo Evolves into a Band 

A-Ha! Records and U Don't Deserve This Beautiful Art team up to release Felipe Pupo's new EP Orishas. It's scheduled to drop April, 27th in Philadelphia. This is the sequel to E. Grizzly's album Felipe Pupo. The project has since grown into a band with the same name and they have earned a reputation for their live shows in Pennsylvania and the tri state area. Felipe Pupo's signature fusing of afrobeat, punk, hip hop, calypso, hardcore and other genres has been praised by local press and gets spins on college radio around the country. The first single off the new EP is called NOGAF which is an ode to the short attention span of social media. The video for NOGAF can be viewed on the link below. 

"The last album was dedicated to Jason Pupo," says E. Grizzly. "He was a good friend of mine who passed away. It inspired me to write about ghosts and being haunted by memories. We wanted to keep the spirit theme going with this new EP. Orishas are spirits in the Yoruba and Santeria religions. It's a part of my families history and it's something I wanted to explore. The first single is called NOGAF. It's inspired by social media and one of these Orishas." Once again Scott Labenski and E. Grizzly produced, recorded and mixed the entire EP. U Don't Deserve This Beautiful Art will also have an exclusive limited released tape on their website. The Orishas Release parties will be on April 27th at Lava Space and April 28th at the Pharmacy in Philadelphia.
