@bosconi-records gives a warm welcome to the new sonic adventure by label founder Fabio Della Torre and Ennio Colaci better known together as Minimono.
Setting aside their old school funk injections for the moment, this time they deliver a fresh, crispy and more synthetic set of tracks where all their recent influences are melting together within an original blend of electro funk, deep n proggy tech house dense of catchy arpeggios, tight grooves for the dance floor and trippy fm synths textures condensed into this Binary Pocket EP.

This killer 4 tracker record begins with the smooth journey of "Himself When" through its peaceful mood and driving beat, while second cut named “My Eye On You” goes more into a mental, hectic, broken, acidic and electroish direction. Flip side sees instead the arrival of the arabic and sinister riff of the proto bleep tech track "Please Repeat" and the more spiritual atmosphere of the Nu Era styled jam of "Jacked Pocket" which close up the EP.

All the flavor you need here, Minimono knows how to do it, indeed!

Podcast #13 for the Svyatki team was recorded by Rob Pearson @robpearson, dj and producer from London, UK. Rob Pearson’s dedication and contribution to the UK’s underground House and Techno scene is beyond question. Since the early 90’s, from his South London base Rob has been responsible for helping to shape the Tech House sound synonymous with the capital. His productions have been released on genre-defining labels such as Toolroom, Erase, Wiggle, Plastic City, Artform and Bombis, as well as his own long-running Evasive Records and it’s sub variants.
 
Expertly covering the ground from deep, dark and tripped out House to slick, seductive and groovy Techno, Rob’s tracks and remixes have become a staple in the sets of every self respecting ‘underground’ house DJ while also being licensed to countless mix CDs. Whether producing solo tracks or collaborating with world-renowned artists like Afrika Bambaataa, Robert Owens and Rose Windross (Soul II Soul), Rob consistently demonstrates his undeniable talent as a composer and producer with the ability to craft music that works as well for home listening as it does on gritty dance floors.

Caro Claudio Coccoluto, volevo chiederti il permesso di pubblicare questo mixtape a me assai prezioso, era da un po' che avevo intenzione di farlo. Proprio questa domenica, manco a farlo apposta, l'ho ritrovato! Invece stamattina mi ha telefonato piangente l’amico Guglielmo Mascio, annunciandomi la tua scomparsa; sono corso subito a registrare questo nastro, come tributo, testimonianza per tutti i Clubbers e DJ community..

La registrazione è del 1997 “Star Trek Night” al Mazoom – Le Plaisir Club. Ringrazio Mario Psx che mi ha recuperato il flyer originale dell’epoca!

Questo è il tuo particolarissimo sound, uno stile unico ed inconfondibile, che ti ha sempre caratterizzato e che mi ha ispirato molto. Non so quante volte avrò ascoltato questo nastro, alla disperata ricerca di un pezzo intitolato "Hot Love" ...

E' stato sempre un sogno condividere la consolle con un Big come te; a volte i sogni si avverano e anzi mai avrei immaginato, di essere invitato da te Roma a mettere vinili assieme anche a tuo figlio Gianmaria. Grazie! Che bei ricordi indelebili, come la tua musica, i tuoi Remix, in particolare questa chicca che forse non tutti conoscono: Cthulu (H.W.W. Remix)
