"In June 2024 I was in the midst of making a new live set for an upcoming concert. Instead of making new tracks, I decided to use archival recordings and experiments from the past 20-22 years that I have stored in six old external hard drives. I wrote a SuperCollider algorithm to select audio randomly from a massive folder, where all the archived audio was copied. The recordings range from early ‘00 Board of Canada inspired electronica, to analog noise/drone recordings around ‘06-09, to ‘11 modular synth improvisations, to all the way forward to unused SuperCollider experiments of recent years.

Using the algorithm was uncanny. I encountered a lot of sounds that I have no memory of ever making. This felt like unearthing deep, hidden sediments of myself.

What do these different layers reveal? Much has changed during these years of music making, personally and historically. The early recordings have a sense of melancholy and longing that I can’t quite access anymore. Still they are distantly familiar. During those years, my gaze was turned inwards to personal struggles and a sense of sadness that I wanted to reflect with my music. Nowadays, I want to focus on more general discourses instead of personal ones.

After the concert, I used the SuperCollider algorithm again to make this album. All the tracks have been chosen by it. The algorithm also provides some additional manipulation like sudden jump-cuts and fx’s while recording. Only some fade-outs and mastering have been edited
afterwards.

I hope that the serendipitous nature of the album reveals something hidden, perhaps interesting, beautiful or meaningful, among the shifting aural sediments of different temporalities."

Fruit d’une longue gestation, E-G-G éclôt aujourd’hui comme la synthèse d’un travail de recherche sonore et introspectif signé par le producteur français Rare0000 (rare-quatre-zéros).
À travers quatre titres résolument club, l’EP déploie un univers alien où chaque son devient matière vivante. Les textures se dilatent, les fréquences se fragmentent et les rythmes se contorsionnent tandis que les nappes électrostatiques qui traversent l’ensemble du projet esquissent la cartographie mouvante d’un monde intérieur et extérieur en perpétuelle révolution.
Deux remixes viennent prolonger l’expérience : la productrice de Seattle enereph propose une relecture percussive et cybernétique de ‘Rebound’ tandis que le français RAVL intensifie ‘Clutch’ avec une version technoïde abrasive.

After a long gestation period, E-G-G is now emerging as the synthesis of sound research and introspection by french producer Rare0000 (rare-four-zeros).
Through four resolutely club-oriented tracks, the EP unfolds an alien universe where each sound becomes living matter. Textures expand, frequencies fragment and rhythms contort while the electrostatic layers that run through the entire project sketch the shifting cartography of an inner and outer world in perpetual revolution.
Two remixes extend the experience: Seattle-based producer enereph offers a percussive and cybernetic reinterpretation of “Rebound”, while french artist RAVL intensifies “Clutch” with an abrasive technoid version.

Safety Model - Hymnal

We’re very excited to unveil our latest signing Safety Model and their debut EP Hymnal!

“The red pours from the blue, as we remain luminous, forever scorching under the light.”

‘Hymnal’ is a series of hymns, simultaneously heavy but weightless, empty yet filled with light, each carrying its distinct sensory color. Dedicated to friends and the self, and guided by four meditative but disconcerting pieces, Safety Model takes us on a journey through the kaleidoscopic gauge of existence as life’s forces press, lift, and shake the body and mind.

The EP opens with ‘Point Blank’, closest in proximity to one’s truest essence. Enveloping sounds lull you into their embrace as brittle mechanical textures weave in and out, provoking the senses into fight or flight. Capturing the moment of waking to the self, magnifying the friction between shock and surrender, between fight and acquiescence, the body registers that which cannot be registered. Loss of memories, of love, of life, of self. Point Blank is represented by the color yellow.

‘Feathers (City)’ is the sonic incarnate of colossal yet fragile brutalist spaces; dusty basements that collapse into expansive cityscapes, perpetually decomposing and reassembling through the hymn’s aural extremes. Grounded, heavy textures are interwoven with waves of gauzy synths like wings; harshness and violence meet subtle femininity, reflecting the tension of the inescapable sensory burden of urban life. ‘Feathers (City)’ is represented by the color red.

‘Where The Lights Don’t Fall, They Press Down Instead’ is the moment of light intruding on the inner self, when even closed eyelids cannot shield the soul. A forced reflection, abstraction as touch, emulating the sense of brightness pressing down. An intimate ballad with operatic falsetto vocals accompanied by levitating resonances of rusted tone, offering a glimpse into the future of Safety Model. Where The Lights Don’t Fall, They Press Down Instead is represented by the color green.

‘Fall Of Self’ is the final acceptance: the scattered memories don’t and won’t matter. With its stretched strings ringing for an indiscernible duration, suspending time through a seemingly endless crescendo, ‘Fall Of Self’ serves as the temporal counterpart to ‘Point Blank’. A hymn to safety, endurance, and reflection. ‘Fall Of Self ‘is represented by the color blue.

‘Hymnal’ will be released October 3rd via Changeless.

Arriving on @planetmurecords with debut 12-tracker 'InitiatriX', Manchester-based producer Ship Sket (@hdmurder) pays homage to UK styles like dubstep, grime, drill and rap, but on an emotional level, it’s about spirituality, fetish, and latent darkness hidden by outward appearances.

“I like happy accidents, messing around and resampling, and kind of seeing how far I can push stuff before it disintegrates in front of me," Ship Sket says. "I’ve heard my tunes on a club system and gone, 'wow that mix sounds bad', but the tune is still popping. My approach is a lot more stylistic than it is technical."
