Kallaikoi is the term used to designate all settled Celtic clans in ancient Gallaecia (northwest of the Iberian Peninsula).
They were skilled in metallurgy and the production of tools and weapons, and they worshiped a variety of deities, some of which were related to nature and war. Although

They disappeared as an ethnic group in ancient times due to Romanization and Later influences, its cultural legacy and the Celtic influence in Galicia persist until today. In some way, that atavistic legacy survives among the grooves of the double album that you have in your hands

The vinyl release includes an insert signed and numbered by artist Beatriz Albaladejo.

Radioactive Man digs deep into his Dub Vault. Tracks that were originally recorded up to 8 years ago are finally coming out on vinyl as well as digital. Four tracks of dub-laden beats with a nod to the Steppers vibes a la Jah Shaka and Aba Shanti.
 

Says Radioactive Man:
 

"Dub has always been a major influence in my music, mainly roots a la King Tubby, Marley, Lee Scratch, King Jammy etc. I used to religiously tune into the Manasseh show on Kiss FM on Saturday nights after Coldcut, that introduced me to the massive amount of Roots Reggae and Dub that was made in the 70’s. I always loved the fact there was two versions, a vocal and a dub, which was always played in that order. The original remix music I guess.
 

"I remember taking my good friend Si Brown to a ‘dance’ in Camberwell, South London. I think it was Aba Shanti sound system. Proper thunderous. Anyway, he reluctantly came along, he always thought reggae was chill out music, after 5 or 10 minutes he was up dancing - blown away by the sheer power of the bass. You couldn’t put your drink down cos it was bouncing with the bass! It's so powerful - that's the way to hear that music properly.
 

"2005, I’d just got a new bit of kit, a Korg Electribe SX, much fun to be had with the new toy, I’d been meaning to make some real dub style vibes, but with electronic sounds. Something we’d touched on doing the Two Lone Swordsmen stuff, Andrew Weatherall also a huge dubhead.
 

"So some of these tunes have been sitting on my hard drive for about 8 years. I played them to my friend Lukey Roots QC, him being a massive dub fiend, we talked about releasing them. So, after many moons of discussion and plans, here's a new record label, UNA sound, dedicated to the Dub side.
 

"There’s more than a bit of On U sound vibes going on, Adrian Sherwood being a producer I’ve always loved. It's a kind of 4/4 steppers vibe on some of them, I like to think they’ve stood the  test of time. They are quite rough and raw, and that's how I like it.
 

"'From the Dub Vault‘ will be a series of 12"s… so far in three volumes. As always, it's a work in progress, it's just that progress has taken years, well, you can’t rush these things can you? So very happy to have them on vinyl, too. I cut them myself, something I’ve been learning over the last year, and that's a great pleasure: cutting and mastering my own tunes.

Riddley Walker (1980) is an experimental science fiction novel by Russell Hoban. It inspired “Riddleyspeak”, the eighth release of Comfortnoise, written and produced by new-dot-com. five not entirely familiar club and sound system tracks: breakbeat influenced, techno leaning, and bass-heavy.

20/20 Vision’s was founded on the idea of ‘perfect sight’.  We wanted people to have a clear vision of music. A big part of that musical vision was our influences from the origins of Electro music - from the original Electro Pop pioneers Kraftwerk and Yello to more experimental laboratories of Raymond Scott, Tomita, Wendy Carlos and the BBC Radiophonic workshop. We also loved the next wave of Electro from Detroit brought by Juan Atkins and Cybotron. All the early 20/20 Vision output was produced at Farmhouse Studios by Carl Finlow, who went on to record as Random Factor, Voice Stealer and Silicon Scally. Now that output is regarded as classic Electro. It now seems like a great moment again to dive back into the deep and find the next generation of electro artists…

Welcome Chris Roman aka 214 with the 'Ingalls Way’, a record filled with the kind of creativity and production skills we have become accustomed to with his music over the years. After previous outings on electro institutions Frustrated Funk and Central Processing Unit, 214 now appears for the first time on 20/20 Vision. From the atmospheric tones of ‘Potential Events’, the manic energy of ‘Windeye’ and the deeper grooves of ‘Back To Sine’, it’s an EP that leaves no stone unturned in the intergalactic sonic quest. 

On remix duties we have none other than Keith Tenniswood aka Radioactive Man, who also makes his first appearance on the label. Along with his work as Two Lone Swordsmen with Andrew Weatherall, Keith and his Radioactive output is generally regarded in the upper echelons of British electronic music and we’re really excited to have him feature on the label.
