Ceri has already more than proven herself as a DJ and producer, holding down residencies at highly respected parties and drawing support for her music from some of the biggest names in the business. Now the London-based artist is spreading her wings by launching 'Find Your Own' as a vessel for her deep, punchy brand of house and techno. 

Life Holstee EP is the perfect opening gambit for her label; a life-affirming club-ready record that fuses the deepest, darkest sounds of Berlin, London and Detroit, featuring two original productions, backed up by a remix from bonafide NYC / Berlin legend

From first turning heads with her deep, tripped out 9-hour sets as a resident at infamous London after party Jaded, Ceri’s reputation as a captivating DJ has since taken her beyond London to ply her trade in Berlin, Mexico, Ibiza and plenty more besides, not to mention scores of festivals in between. 

These formative experiences fed into early releases on Save You, Midnight Social and 3am, and now, after time out to further develop her sound, the Life Holstee EP presents a woman at the peak of her production powers. Inspired by the empowering message of the Holstee Manifesto, the title track works abstract snippets of the manifesto’s text into a surging, bass-heavy roller pitched squarely at the heart of the night. Laden with Moog synths and modulated analogue drum rhythms, the inherent warmth of the track draws you in deeper with each successive bar. 

Fred P should need little introduction – for more than 20 years he’s been flying the flag for true deep house and techno alongside peers such as Jus Ed, Levon Vincent and DJ Qu. With a masterful control over the elements that Ceri provided him with, P turns out a refreshing variation of “Life Holstee” that works some playful analogue bass into the mix while ramping up the dubby effects and unfurling sumptuous, ethereal pads to create his signature ‘none-deeper’ sound. 

Ceri’s B-side production, “We Do”, takes a more sparse approach that places the drums at the front of the mix, using atmospheric touches and further disembodied vocal fragments to create a truly head-spinning cut steeped in sensuality for the discerning dancefloor. 

With early support coming in from the likes of Mr. G, D’Julz, Paranoid London and more besides, Find Your Own Records is off to a flying start. The promise shown by this first transmission points to FYO becoming a ‘buy on sight’ label housing the same alluring approach to true deep house and techno that Ceri herself is making her name with.

Boris Bunnik goes under many aliases. Numerous smaller projects, some faceless projects but mostly known and well respected for his Conforce project. As Versalife he found his way to the Frustrated Funk and Clone familia. His recent LP entitled Encrypted Mind showed Versalife going into a more downtempo experimental soundscape terrain. Soul of the Automaton however tends to lean more on beat orientated electro broken rhythms, still playable for dj’s who are looking to cut up their house and techno sets with something a little more emotive and provocative. With ominous bass, analog rhythms and icey sophisticated atmospherics Boris shapes his trademark crisp production style. His music often tends to go into technical directions but he is certainly able to intertwine the right human elements, reminding you that this isn’t purely machine music. This is soulful techno, electro with subtle ambient elements and IDM echoes, touching the more experimental side of music here and there. Bunnik has not completely severed his links with the past though but he is unafraid of the future. This is again immersive, contemporary and emotive music constructed on the West Coast of Holland in the harbour city of Rotterdam. Real beauty doesn't come from the unavoidable music industry promotion cosmetics. Real music should reach your soul, and can only be explored through direct transmitted waveforms.

Ready for a power takeoff with Astro? From the beginning, this track sends us to another planet with the bassline. And the hypnotic beats certainly make a spacey banger! Sunfleur embarks you in the ship Vostok 1, for a cosmic ballad mixed with sweet and nostalgic lines of synths. This very smooth groove and these robotic vocals make us float.

On the B side, Harrison BDP gives us a darker track. The gravity leads us to a real fusion of reverberating drum lines and entrancing pads, It feels like entering a black hole. Versalife’s second release for 20/20 Vision sees Dutch producer Boris Bunnik aka Conforce return with another slab of signature electro.

'Clandestine Development’ serves up dark tones and melodies layered within insistent electro beats and growling bass, that sounds huge on big room systems. ‘Aegis’ delivers a double dose of mechanical funk, played over atmospheric strings and auditory acid delights. 

On the B side ‘Lamba’ continues to impress with a moody laidback bass line holding the groove down over a solid rhythm & dystopian keys. Wrapping things up the title track 'Asimov's Code' plays out like war drums from space pounding away after a blissful intro of building synths.

‘Cosmic Language’ is Versalife‘s third release for TRUST. This time Versalife explores the use of universal codes in electronic music across four tracks that distil classic and modern electro, analogue techno, and experimental bass music into one of TRUST‘s most eclectic releases to date.

Versalife is the project of Rotterdam-based artist Boris Bunnik, which complements his various aliases such as Conforce, Hexagon, Silent Harbour, and Vernon Felicity with a unique perspective on contemporary Electro music. Only in his early 30s, Bunnik has already contributed a sprawling discography to the electronic music canon over the past decade, spanning styles from techno to electronic dub and ambient across 15 albums and dozens of EPs for imprints such as Delsin, Rushhour, Echocord, Clone, Cultivated Electronics, and 20:20 Vision. The 12” version of ‘Cosmic Language’ ships in new TRUST label sleeves designed by dextro.org that symbolize the coexistence of continuity and change in TRUST’s 20-year-long label history.
