Для третього епізоду нашої лайв-серії харків’янин Максим Меркулов надав один зі своїх ситуативних та сповнених делікатності записів кількарічної давності. Зіграна під час зимової хуртелиці вечірня імпровізація дала початок ряду треків, які можна почути у міні-альбомі Mothership, 26 04 та інших релізах артиста. Тендітні клавішні партії, прокладені поміж шарудінням польових записів та синтезаторних дронів, створюють інтимну атмосферу взаємодії між виконавцем та слухачем.

For the third episode of our live series, Kharkiv-born Maksym Merkulov has shared one of his situational and delicately crafted recordings from a few years ago. An evening improvisation, played amidst a winter blizzard, initiated a series of tracks featured in his mini-album ‘Mothership’ and in subsequent releases. The gentle keyboard harmonies, interlaced with the rustle of field recordings and the hum of synthesizer drones, create an intimate atmosphere, fostering a connection between the performer and the audience

Recorded live at our last gathering, @Bryozone's set transported those of us who were lucky enough to bear witness, to a strange primordial world where the forces of nature are on full display. Thick, billowing clouds of steam obscuring barely discernible landmarks, giving the impression of an endless, ever-shifting landscape. Strange, bioluminescent organisms clinging to piercing obsidian rocks, their glowing tendrils weaving patterns of light in the mist-filled air. It’s a wondrous place of stark contrasts but one that feels eerily like home.

Join us for the third episode of Iriy Frequencies, as we delve into the roots of modern bass music with a focus on two influential labels from the UK leftfield scene: Livity Sound and its experimental counterpart, Dnuos Ytivil. This episode is exclusively curated by Montronique, a resident of Livity Sound, who has prepared a selection showcasing the depth and diversity of the label's offerings.

Livity Sound, inspired by the Rastafarian concept of life-force, was established in 2011 by dubstep pioneer Peverelist. While rooted in UK Garage, the label has explored modern dub and fluxwork, shaping modern bass music genres and nurturing artists in traditional styles. Dnuos Ytivil, its darker twin, offers a collection of heavier, more experimental urban bass music.
