Whoriskey is one of Irelands brightest up and coming Progressive House artists in recent years. He has slowly been forming his own signature progressive sound with rolling deep basslines, punching drums and a real ear for melodies make his productions a journey every time.
 
Whoriskey has worked his way into the mix with some big releases in 2021 on labels such as Freegrant Music, Full Tilt Recordings, Joof Recordings and has made himself a regular artist on the world renowned FSOE UV team. With his music getting supported heavily across the globe from some of dance musics biggest Whoriskey’s music has gained continued support from Paul Oakenfold, Cristoph, Paul Thomas, Aly & Fila, Jaytech and more.
 
2022 is looking like the year when Whoriskey will really make his entrance onto the Progressive Scene with releases coming on Perfecto Records, FSOE UV, Area Verde and some official remixes and collaborations with some of the scenes biggest names.

Welcome, Bienvenidos, Willkommen, Bienvenue! Wherever you are on Planet Progressive, hello again! This is, and will always be your exclusive weekly Progcast from PFG, and as we begin 2023, our search for the DJs and Artists to provide them for you continues unabated. 

New year, New DJ! Pressing home our remit of looking for a new wave of talent, we've travelled to the other side of the world this week and found one. Although in the game a while now, he's maybe not someone you know of. We aim to help change that.. make some noise for Tasman ! 

Tasman (Rohann) is a DJ and Producer based in Auckland, New Zealand, who is highly focused on finding great tunes and an ear for new sounds. 

With over 20 years collecting, playing and indulging in electronic music, Rohann has a passion for well made and constructed music and an ear for quality. Over the years he has DJ'ed at many of Auckland’s clubs, and been involved with supporting international talent. DJ's such as Danny Howells, Martin Roth and Phil K have had Rohann warm their crowds for them.

His sound has been greatly influenced by the underground legends you all know so well, while adding his own twist to it. He has been making steps into the production process in the past few years, and had success with tracks released on labels such as Future Avenue and Stazis. 

More releases are planned for 2023 with both Future Avenue and Polyptych Limited too, so keep an eye out. Overall his goal is to create soundscapes to move you both inside and out.

"I really tried to capture my sound in this mix and it moves about a little through the ebbs and flows. It includes some of my favourite artists and labels and also some of my own work. I hope the group enjoys it, I cannot say thank you all enough for the opportunity and for lending your ears"

Here we see the return of the Spotlight sessions. I chose to select tracks, remixes and collaborations from the mighty Gai Barone, an absolute pioneer in the scene. From his ambient soundscapes, to trance styled and deep progressive leanings, alongside the songs in a neo pop styling it was sure to be an amazing excursion into sound, and 90 mins does simply not do the man justice (look out for further sessions)

I aimed to create a mix that would depict (in my mind) a live session from the man himself. Starting slow and bubbling through electronic soundscapes before building up the pace and intensity of the sounds. Cruising through the hypnotic grooves till the peak time shenanigans engulf your deranged senses. I hope ya dig!
