Trying to express myself through my music. Learning with each song and having a good time on this journey.

Frank was recently quoted on You Tube, I think, having said that he hoped someone would extend his work.   I hope this helps, but he seems to be holding his own even though dead.

A New American Anthem.WAV by Marlin Pals is licensed under a Creative Commons License.        It is derived from Frank Sinatra's song called, "The House I Live In".    His song is about America.   
He asks, "What is America to me" and in the end decides it is the people..

This song should be played before every session of Congress to remind them that they serve the people.
This song could also be used by persons who settle space colonies and carry the American dream to space inhabitants; both current and future.: because America is still a dream in the process of becoming a reality.


For lack of a better name I called this A New American Anthem".
I now think it could be called "What is America?'


It's been a long road, but I now have a label- Creative Commons- to work with as far as I know. 

I have been writing songs since 1964,
My first was "Ode to JFK".
I didn't have any way to publish it and never did.
It is long since lost.
I have tried to write to match old classical styles or have the songs be able to be done by an orchestra or symphony.
The Beatles songs can be performed by orchestra or symphony.

I have CDs of songs of artists back to the old classics of earlier centuries.

The CDs are of Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Gene Autry, Roy Rogers, and Billie Holliday, She is on a CD with others.

The CDs include Shania Twain, Dean Martin, Reba McIntyre and many more.

Unfortunately I have moved to a retirement home and don't have room for my CDs so they are lost to me.

My song - Demummified- is about a situation which was almost cartoonish for me, but I couldn't, or at least didn't convey that fact in the song.

I was working three jobs after serving as daddy to a friend's son.   He was in the service at that time.

I always liked to eat and unwind after work before going to bed. 

A new cafe had opened up on my route to home and I stopped to eat.  

I was so tired that I was almost asleep while waiting for my food.

The young server came over and started talking to me and initially I thought I must have been in a cartoon.    At that time I wondered if I somehow had gotten into a cartoon about a drunk who thought he saw dancing girls.

I quickly woke up enough to realize that the server was talking to me and asking me if I could stay with her at work all night.   She was just 16 and on her first job.   

I had a lot of sympathy for her situation, but knew  that I couldn't spend the night because I had to go home and get a couple of hours of rest before going to my day job.

I did eat at the new place about twice a week after work and the server and I talked about everything and nothing.

The song describes the amazing effect she had on me; perhaps because of my sympathy for her.    I had thought I was as good as dead and couldn't have feelings.

For me it was a Disneyesque situation and I thought it was worthy of a song and perhaps a comedy show with Fred Murray or someone from Disney to bring out the comedy.

The experience is almost impossible to explain.
