Elemental Vol. 1 moves through earth, air, fire, and water not as metaphors but as emotional states. The songs drift like weather systems, mixing tenderness with atmosphere - acoustic guitars and field-warm vocals meeting the pulse of understated techno rhythms. The production is deliberately porous: wood and wire breathing alongside soft synths and spectral drum-machine traces. It's an "acoustic techno" album in the sense that rhythm and resonance share the same dirt. The songs carry the physical textures of wind in rafters, gravel underfoot, or rain on a roof, yet they shimmer with digital light. This meeting of folk intimacy and electronic timbres gives the album its peculiar gravity - part back-porch confession, part after-hours heartbeat.

Lyrically, Elemental Vol. 1 abandons conventional pop architecture. Instead of verse–chorus–bridge repetition, each piece unfolds as a field poem - free-form, continuous, and responsive to its own inner weather. The writing treats structure as tide rather than grid: refrains return when they need to, not when they're told to. This openness lets the language breathe in sync with the natural imagery that drives it - storms, light, stone, silence - and invites listeners to inhabit the songs as evolving spaces rather than predictable forms. Across the various mixes of its six song poems - We Learn the Sky, Don't Sightsee This Heart, Be a Storm in Me, Til the Heat Is Gone, You Happen Like Weather, and Wild Gifts - the album traces the cycles of intimacy and impermanence, finding in their motion the same quiet power that turns seasons, wheels, and hearts.

Andi Rietschel - Andiji -  a Springdance for a world in love, in peace and in happiness

I decided to take time off last year starting from mid-September and went totally offline. This includes listening to music. My travels took me to Nepal and Sri Lanka for 3 months. It was an inward journey travelling alone and going into the unknown. A needed trip to explore the nature of the mind and to discover the true power and force of human BEing - the mind and body, emptiness and appearance in union. In the end of my journey I started to listen and search for new music. This mix represents the findings and reflects the inner journey, especially the lyrics in one of the last tracks. Had the pleasure to listen to this beatiful angel in a concert on my next trip to Bali. Now off again for another 4 months :)

Most of the tracks on Spellbound were produced in my old basement studio in Brooklyn during the winter lockdown. I remember thinking a lot about freedom of choice, why I like music, and whether we live in a computer simulation or not (I know, I had a lot of time on my hands).
Now, while these thoughts didn't yield any answers, they sure seeped into this release.

The track Cinderella really is about perseverance against the odds. The prince turns his kingdom upside down, goes from door to door, looking for his love, trying to not break that glass slipper. That night with old Cindy must feel like a long gone dream, a fairy tale, unreal, yet he won't let go...or can't...or chooses not to. He keeps holding onto something that ain't real. A possibly endless enchantment without knowing whether the spell is good or bad. That prince would make a fine artist!

On Repeat deals with the kind of spell that leaves you powerless, but in a good way. A magic you surrender to, a trustworthy sorcery, and also a sexy bass line, if I may say so.

Spellbound, the title track, is actually a shower song - I sing under the shower, everyday, I cannot control it. It's like there are little tunes hidden within the white noise of the running water, and usually they go down the drain with it, never to leave the bathroom - not Spellbound though. That main melody was stuck in my head for days, couldn't wash it off. Very strong spell, beware!
