A coté de mon piano, est posée ma vieille guitare
Celle qui m’a appris très tôt, à oublier mon cafard
Je sens peser sur mon dos, la journée, il est si tard
Dans ma tète c’est le chaos, et ça rue dans les brancards

Je m’ assoie à mon piano, en tire des accords bizarres
Quelque chose qui sonne faux, j’en ai honte pour la guitare
Au dessus, quelques photos, posées là comme par hasard
Ca fait un morceau de beau, quand le moral se lézarde

Qui me délivrera, des ombres qui me hantent, des doutes qui me broient  ?
Qui me délivrera, de tout ce que je tente, et ne réussis pas  ?

Je rassemble les morceaux, et je trouve mille bonnes raisons
Ca doit être le boulot, ou l’hiver qui est trop long
Avoir une auto qui roule, feuilles mortes sur le gazon
Et ces factures qui deboulent, feuilles d’impôts dans le salon

L’été aller voir les mouettes, l’hiver ne pas avoir froid
Et ces rides qui nous embettent, ces cheveux qui n’r'poussent pas
Les gosses qui nous prennent la tête, et même ceux que l’on n’a pas...
Et l’histoire qui se répète   : un qui vient, un qui s’en va…


Qui me délivrera, des ombres qui me hantent, des doutes qui me broient   ?
Qui me délivrera, de tout ce que je tente, et ne réussis pas   ?


Soudain, à minuit moins l’quart, tout ça me parait dérisoire
Faudrait faire la part, des choses, arrêter de boire
Et tous ces petits soucis, qui me pourrissent la vie
Faudrait les mettre au placard…..........et reprendre la guitare

Suddenly, at midnight a quarter, all this seems ridiculous to me
Should make the part, things, stop drinking
