2014 is the year of the "Crouching Beachcoma, hidden Alcohol Problem" in the Shēngxiào (Chinese Zodiac). Its true only because one of us read this fact on the web and naturally, the rest of us are gullible enough to believe this. So yay!, it's Beachcoma's year...again. (Calendar Fact)   

To start this year up sizzling hot!, our next release comes from three awesome Spaniards that are actual descendants of Christopher Columbus. However as Canadians, we ask ourselves...Columbus who? As Canadians, if they were all a twinkle in Viking Leif Ericson's eye, which pre-dates Columbus's twinkle, we would be like "Oh, okay that guy". (History Fact).

In a short period of time, EDU IMBERNON has made a big splash on the Electronic music scene with his talent to produce memorable music, garnering respect from audiences and DJ's alike. (Entertainment Fact) Much like his fellow countrymen, Delmar & Alvaro who are known to the world as LOS SURUBA had their most successful year to date with an output of great releases & a steady schedule of performance. Ibiza sands filled their short pants constantly during their summer months residencies but that never stop any of them from performing with heart & soul. (Fun Language Fact "SURUBA" in Portuguese translates to - Cool Party Orgy) EDU & LOS SURUBA are no strangers to one another. They have played a roll in each others careers through music collaborations and great party moments. 
It's very much the same way it goes with the three of us in both our own solo careers and now with, BEACHCOMA. When they presented us with a demo containing "Talgo", we immediately heard the connection these three producers have to one another. The history and growth that aligns these guys and their talent is what stood out most for us. (Sentimental Fact). TALGO opens up with a straight edge Tech House give & go nature but in its development, it unveils its true glory.

SID Le ROCK (Fact- Real Birth Name) the man with the most gorgeous eyes in Electronic Music (Anatomy Fact), takes on the role as remixer. Sid "Sexy Eyes" Le Rock strips down the original version only to repack it again with more OOMPH and then adds a careful amount of GUFF to meet his target expectations. We all expected no less of any of them and so that how we start this year up.

The winter's almost gone and Luettje Luise's Mama comes out of hibernation. With a new playground at home, it will take a talented hand to prepare for the upcoming spring. Along comes @Nutia, sowing his seeds of ‘Raounuor’.

‘Fischbahn’ (A1) is a decent wake up call for the early birds facing their way back north to the deep woods of ‘Schweden’ (A2). Here, Nutia serenades those old inhabitants with a rattling melody, and sends them on their way with heads still light. ‘Em Pessoa’ (B1) tinkles on the flipside: a lullaby of constant perpetuation, which echoes its way through the mesmerising labyrinth of trees and bushes, only to be heard by the lonesome @Deer (B2), who answers with the most gentle mating call these woods have ever heard.

‘From Outside’ (Digital) the vinyl some unknown voices fly in. One might call them electronic - whatever that could be.

»Orange Evening« (A1) shuffles a warm groove as you watch the first leaves dance in the wind, from the rocking chair on your grandpa’s porch – just the right spot for some »Big Tales« (A2) that paint a picture of times you never saw, but still remember. Thankfully, nobody judges us around here, so put on your »Dirty Dress« (B1) once again as the tempo turns up a notch.

Staying true to one's signature style, but at the same time re-inventing oneself again and again and again: A serious dilemma for many artists. However, it's not for Dole & Kom. Their Salto Mortale EP comes with three productions that are similar yet very different to each other in a fascinating way. The similarity is very sublime, as it seems like pressure and forward thrust evolve out of the context rather than prominent rhythms and sounds. Whereas the atmospheres of the tracks differ greatly. Salto Mortale is based on a voluminous bass line around which delirious melodies materialize from a vortex of sound. Silence comes with symphonic grace and big emotions. When the melancholic beauty of a female voice joins in the whole thing turns into pure epicness. Then again theres Fly Bar which draws its perfidious catchiness from a smart mix of high-octane club grooves and a high amount of sophisticated musicality. Nights are coming and going and faces appear and vanish, great plans are made and rarely held up to. While that is the mode that keeps the machine running, from time to time something greater can evolve out this fast paced spare time profession. That is to say, it is a great pleasure to smooth the way for our dear friend »Kleintierschaukel« and his »Blue Elephant«.

A rare species whose origins are found in »Motomia« (A1), that odd place where sticky clocks tick faster than time passes. Still all confusion is lost in the calm whispering of Juliette (A2), a harmony of strange confidence. Despite all its apparent harmlessness, it needs the soothing voice of our all beloved Leonie to let its vast figure withdraw to the rivers and show the gentle nature of this »Unterwassermann« (B1). Back in his element all notches are smoothed out and movements unite in a rythmic flow. This is not a documentary, this is the Blue Elephant: »TV Ende« (B2).

All echoisms aside: We are very happy to have Mr. »Valentin Stip« from Montreal himself contribute his interpretation of »Motomia« (D), a delicate dissection, reunited to a greater interaction of the most gentle kind.
