'A Thousand Dances' keeps up the sophisticated euphoria that has long become the signature style of the duo. The dreamy violin play of guest musician Christine Holtz undulates around the athletic groove like a silk scarf in a summer night's breeze. The minimalist Paper Town presents itself as a solid dose of dance floor deepness, and Never Enough as a laid-back homage to the the late hours of an adventurous weekend.  The next stage of Swiss based DJ and producer DANIEL PORTMAN is a bright and delightful one. Progressive house music at its best. Right where his roots are, where he rose out of nowhere 10 years ago like phoenix out of the ashes and built himself slowly a name with steady high-class productions.
The first decade brought him on some of the biggest stages and to some of the most exotic places in the world.
LINGUA starts the new decade and a new Daniel Portman era. With a smooth and very catchy arpeggio line, a heart breaking chord progression in the breakdowns as well as some innovative but still pumping drum sections Daniel shows why he still has it, why experience and wisdom can make a little difference.
On the AA-side BENHAM CREEK rocks with a rolling psy bassline and a amtmospheric oriental flute solo that lifts the track up to the gods of psy-house music. Yes, some might say, this still has to be invented. We say, it already has been invented and Daniel Portman takes good credit for that.

September 2017 bringt @felixcage seine neue EP „Dancing Spirits“ raus. „Meine Inspiration war die Ghost in the Shell-Serie – und nicht der Film übrigens, der eine riesige Enttäuschung war“, verrät der belgische Produzent, „und vor allem „Innocence“, der zweite Animationsfilm. Ich bin ein großer Fan nicht nur des Cyberpunk-Aspekts sondern auch der philosophischen Dilemmas des Franchise. Daher die ganzen „Spirits“ und „Ghosts“.“ Aufgenommen wurde die Nummer in seinem Heimatstudio in Brüssel, geremixt von @bigasti und erscheinen wird sie via @electronicalreeds.

With a hefty back catalog of releases and an ever-evolving style, Berlin mainstay Niko Schwind dives into his introspective side on the Amari EP, which boasts four original tracks including a collab with DJ, producer and vocalist Felix Raphael.

Opener Circles is a tangle of dreamy pads and wistful vocals, with gleaming synths and undulating drums complementing Felix Raphael’s pensive lyrical incantations.

A walk on the tribal side, Kala combines introspective melodies with relentless percussion. Indigenous chants accent the mystic rave atmosphere, building up to an immersive, hypnotizing climax. Equally mesmerizing, but channeling a more constant energy is Amari, taking us on a dynamic journey with occasional bursts of sonic color. Zugvögel is a laidback track that builds slowly, adding subtle layers of cosmic melody with psychedelic vocals and a deep, mind-bending bassline, rounding off the release in a contemplative fashion.
