Sieht ganz so aus, als wollen Dole & Kom die Feier-Tage auch wirklich zu dem machen, was ihr Name andeutet. Denn kurz vor dem Jahresende tritt das Berliner Duo nochmal beherzt aufs Gas und legt hier eine schwer hitverdächtige EP vor. Jeder Titel ist ein Kracher für sich. Jeder Titel hat seine ganz eigene Gangart. Und die geladenen Remix-Gäste sorgen für gelungene Abwechslung. Night Room ist eine tiefgründige Hypnose-Nummer, bestens geeignet für jene gewissen Momente, in denen du nicht mehr quatschen, sondern einfach nur tanzen willst. Jonas Saalbach setzt mit der für ihn so typischen Geste noch mehr Akzent auf die Melodie des Originals. Bone For Tuna geht in eine ganz andere Richtung, verschmitzter House-Groove trifft hier auf heitere Lässigkeit. Ante Perry macht daraus eine euphorische Hymne für die Spitzenzeit einer Party. Zu guter letzt gibt es mit Twenty noch eine Portion organische Wärme auf die Ohren, tropisch anmutende Grooves und dezente Melodie-Einlagen mischen sich mit eigängigen Elementen aus der World Music Ecke. Wie gesagt, feinste Musik für die Feier-Tage und -nächte.

Looks like Dole & Kom want to make sure you'll have some decent party when this year comes to an end. The Berlin duo steps on the gas and continues its string of hi-octane dance floor releases. Their Night Room EP is all about variety, catchiness, and dancability, of course. Each tune has its own character and sounds different from the others. The title track, Night Room, is full of subtle hypnotism – one of those tunes that make you wanna stop talking and just dance. True to his signature style, Jonas Saalbach makes this track even more melodic. Bone For Tuna is quite different, this one is bursting with casual House Grooves and uplifting party vibes. The remix by Ante Perry cranks up the level of euphoria even more, making it a solid prime time anthem. Finally there's the title Twenty that can best be described as a mix between warm, organic grooves and catchy influences from the World Music genre. All together this EP is the perfect soundtrack for extended holidays in the world of club music.

Jonas Saalbach - Morgen

It starts without rush. Natural sounds, soft pads, a diverse soundscape, open minded. Then the bass is coming in - straight and loud. A mixture of organic and electronic music, a mixture of old and new - welcome at the “Ancient Lake“, so clear and colorful. We are invited by Jonas Saalbach, a well known Live Act and producer from Berlin. On his first album he combines melodies and dancefloor elements, hard bass lines and story telling instruments. 

We’ll find tracks grown with time on the album. Some are based on classical techno styles like “Driven By Madness feat. MZ Sunday Luv“ and “Hammada“. Others are made for listening and dreaming like “Thinking Of You“ and “June Gloom“. You can feel the spirit of summer in every number, the desire for adventures in the nature, the energy of the sun. Jonas Saalbach presents his summary of a year full of travels and studio nights. His cooperations with Paul Klatt for example, are an important part of his work. Berlin is a big playground for him with a lot of inspiration every day and so the album is like a story board of life, a perfect starter for a new season, energetic and unstoppably creative.

Here we tighten our fists and look up to the blue stain in the sky – which is really never that blue – and we find ourselves deserting our lives for an instant.
Over there is that fuzzy silence where we can hear as deep as the jumps of our heart.
