Seth Schwarz ist Quereinsteiger. Denn zu seiner lebenslangen Leidenschaft für klassische Musik gesellt sich seit einer ganzen Weile auch große Begeisterung für treibende Club-Grooves. Infolgedessen kommt seine Hörerschaft in den Genuss von wahrlich symphonischem Tanzvergnügen, wenn er zwischen pochender Kickdrum und peitschenden Hi-Hats seine virtuosen Arrangements komponiert. So zu hören in Elysium: Effiziente Rhythmik trifft auf detailverliebte Instrumentierungen, die sich in raffinierter Vielschichtigkeit um das Geigenspiel von Seth Schwarz entwickeln. Diese ausgetüftelte Harmonie passt auch ganz wunderbar zu Mollono.Bass, der für seinen hypnotischen Remix mit klirrenden Klangfragmenten herumspielt und sie nach und nach zur symphonischen Größe des Originals verdichtet. Der Kontrabass, die schmissigen Klavierklänge und die gebrochenen Beats des Canooby Tune auf der B-Seite offenbaren Seth Schwarz vollends als freigeistigen Multiinstrumentalisten. Und die Herren Dole & Kom verwandeln diese muntere Jam-Session in eine amtliche Portion gradlinigen Floorwärtsschub. 



Seth Schwarz has multiple backgrounds. One the one side there is his life-long passion for classical music. On the other side, there is his enthusiasm for driving club grooves. And in the middle, there is a style that is simply unique. Combining highly sophisticated composition techniques with banging kick drums and whipping hi-hats, his impact on the dance floor is truly symphonic. That’s what Elysium is all about: Efficient rhythms meet intricate instrumentations, seamlessly sewn together by the virtuous violin play of Seth Schwarz. The intense harmony of this title is a perfect match for Mollono.Bass who fills his hypnotic remix with jangling sound fragments before they eventually add up to the symphonic dimensions of the original. The Canooby Tune on the flipside of this record gives full expression to the open-minded character of Seth Schwarz, featuring a jazzy double bass, a bouncy piano, and broken beat textures. Last but not least the gentlemen Dole & Kom turn this vivid jam session into a trembling dose of floorward pressure.

here is the set that I played at Kater at the wonderful liminal Event on September 26th in 2025. It's hard to play fluffy downtempo these days and because I didnt feel like playing filthy downtempo I dug deep into the fluffy deep house sound of the 2010s. 27 of these 40 tunes are released before 2015, most around 2010/2011. I hope you like this fluffy driving ride <3
