Pericopes+1 is an Italian trio project described as “crossover jazz”, with roots in European tradition, African-American music and improvisation, and an affinity for melody and compositional structure, mixed with other post-rock/prog/avantgarde/electronic influences.

Internationally regarded as cutting-edge trombonist and a renown producer, composer, orchestrator and “arranger of the first-class” (Harvey Siders, JazzTimes), Doug Beavers has earned a Grammy® for his work on Eddie Palmieri’s Listen Here (2006) and has performed, toured and recorded with Eddie Palmieri (La Perfecta II, Ritmo Caliente, Listen Here), Spanish Harlem Orchestra, Rosemary Clooney (Sentimental Journey, The Last Concert), Gilberto Santa Rosa, Don Omar, Sheila E., Mingus Big Band, Pete Escovedo, and many others.

Currently based in New York City, Doug Beavers has recently established the Harlem School of Urban Music and Recording Arts, enabling urban students of New York City to study their specific brand of urban jazz, salsa, hip-hop and rock through a program of formal music training.

Critically acclaimed as the "pre-eminent improvising violinist of his generation," Zach Brock is an American jazz violinist and Grammy Award-winning member of Snarky Puppy. He has toured with Stanley Clarke and Phil Markowitz, released seven solo albums, and was named "Rising Star Violinist" of 2013 by Downbeat Magazine. A passionate educator, Zach has coached hundreds of musicians from workshops to conservatories worldwide. Zach remains a perennial coffee fanatic and skateboard enthusiast, and currently lives with his wife and daughters in the NYC area.

Current projects include: writing a new musical comedy film with longtime collaborator Andrew Gordon; promoting the Fishnapped! Original Cast Recording with Open Road Productions; recording god-knows-what with Mike Tortorello at Soundchaser Productions; recording audio adaptations of classic fantasy called Dreamers Tales in cooperation with Pegana Press
