'I made this track about 2 years ago as a tribute to all the coal mine workers . .

Coal and Dhanbad are inseparable like a heroine addict with crack. You know it's bad but you cant go a day without it. 

Coal gave that city its economy, a thriving middle class, good schools, modernity but also became the core reason for an extremely corrupt ruling class, mafias, crime, a feudal mentality where the labour class is always at the receiving end.

It also made Dhanbad one of the more polluted cities of the world, people who work in the mines work under sub human conditions, lung disease is the order of the day. Hundred's of workers have been buried or drowned alive over the years whenever an underground mine caves in or a mine gets flooded during the monssons. 

Can we live without coal ? I dont know, thats all Dhanbad has ever known, its the reason why that city is there in the first place. But can we live and work under better conditions ? Definitely.'
