Stereo soundscape recordings. Sometime nature, sometimes people, sometimes machinery. Sometimes quiet things like a single branch creaking in the wind on Dartmoor, sometimes odd moments in the city. Mostly local, but sometimes travelling. 

SOUNDkitchen is dedicated to the promotion of composers and artists working in the field of sound. At its core is a collective of composers with a background in electroacoustic and experimental music. SOUNDkitchen provides a regular platform for local artists to explore, experiment and present their work alongside that of international composers and sound artists. It offers a programme of exciting and eclectic new music that uses technology to form part of the aesthetic experience.

Since 2012, A Closer Listen has claimed a specialized niche in the music industry: instrumental album reviews!  By concentrating on this above all else (singles, videos, concerts, interviews, lyric albums, announcements), we’ve built a healthy fanbase and a strong reputation.

If music is recorded and nobody listens, does it still make a sound?

3LEAVES was founded by Ákos Garai in 2009. The label is committed to support artist who have a certain sensitivity towards their environment, research its deeper relationship and clearly presents these permanent or even momentary connections in their field recording based sound art.

We are absolutely listener centered instead of artist centered. We believe and support active listening which goes beyond the common concept and relation to music listening today.

Against the current trends, 3LEAVES stands with physical releases. Carefully designed and delivered them to the listeners, we hope that we can hands something that is joyful and generating positive ideas both locally and globally.
