Pink fog rises amidst the hills; dew covers all in silver paint glittering in the background. layers covering layers of low clouds, fog and haze.
Shimmering city lights. Silhouettes of figures sitting in the hills, hanging in bridges, on top of houses, looking upon, observing city drive from up high as if it was a meditating bonfire. A notion of something going to happen. But all that remains is a glimpse of pink fog hanging static in the air.

Risks Issues Opportunities, the third release from Berlin based R.I.O. label, brings together a collection of electronic wave music from six different performers with one common ground: their mysterious & slightly melancholic aesthetics.

Ears On Earth & Super Utu present Household Choirs: A selection of housebound voices singing together in harmony. From forth the abodes of 11 independent nations come 22 songs spread across two CDs inside a limited edition double jewel case designed by EOE’s Danilo.

The recent disruption of daily life has caused us to reflect and consider what we believe to be meaningful, important and what brings joy to our existence. For the dance community who have had their places of worship shut down indefinitely, a unifying space we can all occupy is a freedom of the mind. In physical confinement, freedom becomes a state of mind; A place to visit when we can’t move our bodies the way we want to. These two CDs symbolise inside and outside dance spaces made inaccessible to us by the pandemic.

So we gathered a choir of households to share their voices.

After the first week of lockdown, we were forced to postpone all of our scheduled releases, so we started thinking about a new V.A.
Our inspiration behind it was the mutual support to overcome the lockdown and the discomfort it brought. As such, we started to contact the artists we love asking them to collaborate.
The result is astonishingly homogeneous, even if we were locked in our homes thousands of kilometers away from each other.
As a record label, we recognize the importance of not interrupting our work, to support independent artists during this global crisis.
We may be apart, but we're going in the same direction. We are in Parallel Routes.

Lars Bartkuhn and Jan Hennig (better known by his artist name Kabuki) have been friends for 20 years, but it wasn’t until late 2017 that they started collaborating musically. Both veterans in their respective corners of club culture (Kabuki in Jungle, Bartkuhn in House), their experiments together saw them drift away from beat-centric, floor-filling music, and land on the deep-listening side of soundsystem culture. These sessions saw both producers combine
their individual strengths — Kabuki as an engineer, sound designer and modular synth wiz, Bartkuhn as a classically trained musician, composer and guitar player — into something that carries their sonic fingerprints, yet achieves something greater than the sum of its parts.
Impressed with the results of these sessions they decided to name their project The First Minute of a New Day, and focussed on mixing and editing down the sessions with an album in mind. The duo also enlisted fellow sound-traveler Laraaji, who jammed long-distance,
layering his characteristic phased zither over one of their sketches, which became “July 14th”.
All of the tracks on their self-titled LP are named after the day of the initial session, proclaiming their improvisatory genesis. The resulting recordings have the looseness and heady structure of jazz sessions, but with deeply felt electronic production, like something born from Can’s Inner Space Studio or touched by the magical hands of Conny Plank. The deep mix of electronic jazz, new age and ambient, combined with the deft abilities of the players, makes the album feel like a decidedly modern addition to the ECM or Windham Hill canon.

Post lockdown does not mean we need to fall back into the same patterns like we did before. This EP contains a smooth transition to a new reality. ULTRATERRENO is TAGLIABUE`s (@josephtagliabue) newest EP on the Berlin and Zurich based micro Label Lustpoderosa.

The celestial sounds from the italian producer Tagliabue is a healing process of well tempered analog synthesizers. The cure is in the mix of pre dancefloor and ambient tracks inlcuding a slow trancy chug from well known and apreciated selector @AnatolianWeapons.

Tagliabue is not just inspired by the afro cosmic heritage of Beppe Loda and Daniele Baldelli, but also from post-folk, rock, prog and kraut influences of 70’s and early 80’s, passing through New Wave and Synth Pop of Gaznevada or The Stupid Set and not to forget italians rave culture of the 90s with Franceso Farfa and Marco Dionigi just to mention a few.

This very intimate EP is a meditative and transcendental journey to another world. Literally.

He dreaded the morning after the night before; he was no stranger to these feelings of melancholy and anxiety. Despite the knowledge of such impending doom, it never seemed to stop him, or anyone else he rubbed shoulders with for that matter. During those moments of elation, stints of euphoria and unrequited love, it all seemed worth it. But as with anything, what goes up must come down...

Following recent releases from Club Bizarre and Aurum Miles, Blindetonation boss Kezokichi steps up for the first time on his own imprint with two original tracks backed up by remixes from Freudenthal and Arthur Johnson. The Tokyo-based producer and DJ has built up a cult following through his distinct take on hypnotic electronic sounds via both his label and his own Back To Back events thrown during his time living in London. His new EP titled Ess Tie flaunts these signature sounds, moving through eerie, tripped-out rhythms, cosmic atmospheres and deep rugged bass lines.

Today we´re doing a premiere for our friends at The Evil plans.
For their first release on their new label, Evil Plans record label bosses Blavatsky & Tolley release the River Inside EP. 

River Inside has been receiving great feedback from taste-makers in the scene, it has been declared by several to be their favourite track of the year already. There are two fantastic remixes by BTCOP and Retroforward, each bringing their own unique twist to this fantastic track. Mastering has been completed by Rich Lane's Cotton Bud.

The dynamic duo of ROTCIV and Das Komplex are back on Luv Shack Records to finish off what they started with the "Magic Silk #1 EP" in 2019.
Das Komplex' "Jak Mozna Nie Mówic O Pesymizmie" (wich translates to "how can you not speak about pessimism") is boasting with psychedelic effects, polish spoken words and a plethora of funky disco tropes, all cumlinating in a 10 minute super disco jam.
Hot on the heels come two ROTCIV remixes of Das Komplex' "Silk" from the first Magic Silk EP. The "Electric Dub" is a broken electro workout with a tight industrial beat, lush synth patterns, dubbed out percussions and an array of weird FX. The "Transmix" comes with a driving 4tothefloor groove and an italo-esqe synth bassline at the heart of the mix, while still maintaining the pittoresqe atmosphere of the original with layers of heavily mangled effects.
On "Space Explore", ROTCIV constructs a complex slow burner, setting up an eerie atmosphere of digital soundbytes, vocal snippets, ghostly strings and fat synth pads on top of a cosmic disco groove.
Lastly, Das Komplex remixes "Your Highness", adding a classic disco groove with lots of analog percussion, funky guitars and a quirky synth bass-sequence, creating instant euro-disco nostalgia.

In 2019 we received a-lot of tracks from Mytron, and we were immediately hooked. Unfortunately not all the tracks could fit the vinyl.
Hard choices had to be made and thereby we are super happy to share this EP with you.
Even more exciting is that we asked San Soda to make a remix under his New Beat moniker, Nick Berlin.

This resulted in a diverse EP with original tracks by Mytron (ft. Dreems) which could be played at every moment in a set (hopefully in clubs and festivals again soon).
To top it off, the remix by Nick Berlin (aka San Soda) will certainly be liked among New Beat lovers.

Stationed in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur, rising talent Ed Dix provides a psychedelic ride for the Barcelona-based record label. While the three original mixes our loaded with with deep basslines and acid modulations, the remixes come courtesy of Stevie R & Parisinos and Velmondo. Airing the latter one here today, we see Hivern Discs releasing artist Vemondo keep the acidic vibe of the original 'Halusinasi' and add some fine-tuned quirkiness into the affair. TIP!
