The day of the blizzard has arrived.
The music of Mystics drags us into a thunderstorm of syncopated rhythmic elements and electrical atmospheres. We can feel the rain flowing on our skins, the wind that violently pierces our bodies: the breath is missing, the raindrops are internal. The tension is present in an almost perennial way throughout the duration of this EP - it's more like a therapy.
AFN001 represents a declaration of intent, perfectly executed by Mystics. Already from the first release you can understand, in fact, what the label sets out: to explore the most melancholic and emotional corners of electronic music. "Recorded live in summer 2019 in the Berlin studio of Chris Jarman (aka Kamikaze Space Programme / Raiden) on a Soundcraft Spirit 'Studio' 24-8-6 mixing console, “Época Dub'd” is a slowed down, dubbed out and edited mixtape of tracks from Lakker's 2019 R&S album “Época” and their extensive back catalogue. The tracks have been rearranged and reconstructed, processed through classic delays and FX and stretched into new forms far from the original versions.

Inspired by dub mixing techniques, granular processes of stretching sound and DJ Screw's “chopped and screwed” mix concept, “Época Dub'd” is a continuous mixtape in two parts spread over two sides of a limited hand numbered cassette, a journey exploring the arts of live remixing and sound design."

Couronne de Merde is a french musician and co-founder of the independent label Etang Brulant (@etang-brulant). Violin player and weird screamer, his music explores existential torment and doubt through noise, industrial sounds or sacred atmospheres, trying to create a new and innovative path to the unlimited expression of introspection. Without taking his provocative actions or creations too seriously, he can be found at night in a cellar eating dirt, or in the morning playing with a deer through the woods. With several monikers and diverse collaborations (Plus faible ce soir, A Vague Gardener, No Social Theory, خارج الخدمة) he likes to share his taste and work with other fellow musicians. Since 2017, he had the chance to perform in France, Switzerland or Lebanon.

Second Spectre appeared in 2016, as a four handed electronic music research entity, remaining discreet about their identities and musical background as they always want the musical performance to come forth of their public image.
They released music on different labels such as Strange Therapy, VOITAX, Etang Brulant, Champ Libre Records, Constant Value, Solid Shape and various remixes.
Beyond the musical aspect, the members of Second Spectre are also involved in projects incorporating photography, graphic design, fashion, visual and performance art.
As they are always trying to push the boundaries of possibilities, their creative process is always evolving. It becomes different on every release, and collaborations with other talented artists make the Spectre grow everyday.
