In the middle of the summer Yeho, an Israeli musician coming from Tel Aviv, was wandering around Italy and randomly he found himself in the “Quintino Basement”, lair of Ninja Exotic Machine.

This casual encounter gave birth to three new tracks where the
duo’s downtempo and tribal style merges with Yeho’s crisp and raw vocal together with intriguing percussions samples extracted from live recordings of the percussionist Andrea Greco.

The result is an Ep called “36 questions” out on Pho Bho Records on the 14th of October.

John Parsley has been making an impact lately with his unique soundscapes and catchy left field rhythms. After the success of recent releases on Logical and Sulk Magic the Swiss producer brings two new originals to Roam Recordings to form the Schlanke Socke EP. Both tracks build with a rhythmic fluid motion while maintaining an eerily intriguing vibe. The original Schlanke Socke is an uptempo rendition of this style while Ghost in the Maschine brings the tempo down to add more space.

The EP also sees the return of Tronik Youth to Roam Recordings with an excellent remix of the title track. The Nein Records label boss takes the energy up even further on Schlanke Socke with a heavy percussion workout.

Mexican producer and label boss for Regith Records Otheo also joins the EP and adds a stunning dark disco remix of Ghost in the Maschine.

All four tracks work together to fit different times, tempos, and occasions while keeping with the Roam mantra - a little left of center and always for the dance floor.

Chess is the thinking mans game. A game for the chronic overthinker, whether you start with the Sicilian defence or the Queens gambit, this is a game for Karpov... not Kasprov. 
Karakter have been on fine form this year and this is a gorgeous addition with a slightly off kilter and pretty wonky breakbeat track which straddles the line between new age and heater. 
Alex Pletnev has been a staple of Vilnius scene and his remix is an absolute testament to both chess and his skills as a remixer. 
Some lovely noises punctuate this track as it slowly builds with no fanfare but total intensity, listen without prejudice please because this is awesome.

TAPAN - Good Times

Leeds trio Joe Gill, Heidi Armitage and Tim Hutton aka Tzamsutsi opening new eclectic Various Lurkers 04 compilation on Space Ritual Records.
If you listen hard enough between the kicks and the high hats and the acid lines and the analogue synths you can hear a micro moment of silence, you could hear a psychedelic frogs.
Although Psychedelic Frogs Are Ok is a mid tempo track, it burns the senses every bit as well as much as any track you would hear at 5am. A heavy acid line plays out while punctuated by trippy tribal cowbell which seep in and out of the track.
All the while heady drums dance alongside fx ridden backwards bass lines among acid guitar parts, either way this will be a nice addition to the catalogue of an artist who will allow you to do anything except hear a psychedelic frogs singing.
