Representatives of Kyiv’s downtempo wave, Kostya Kottov and Techija, have long been probing the ground for launching their own label. The starting point was their joint promoter POVILNO, under the banner of which they’ve been running events for the past few years. Staking on eclecticism and musical diversity, they’re ready to present the first compilation of the newly minted imprint – a collection of slow-burning tracks inspired by the power of organic elements and psychedelic experimentation from artists around the world, including duo Stevie R and Parisinos, Roe Deers, Dan Bay, Colossio, LEONOR and ID_UA.

The compilation opener “Information Society” sees the massive bass lines of UK label bosses Inside Out, Stevie R and Parisinos, their sense of drama and epicism meet the chilling vocals from 70s videos about information overload. The result is a slow but weighty track for early dancefloors and late night hangouts. “People Know” from label mate, Ukrainian producer ID_UA, is a psychedelic stroll under a palm-crossed sky. A tight groove with tantalising synths and a splash of trippy guitar parts. The mood is picked up by the Mexican Colossio with the exceptional diamond collection “Shofar”, a perfect dancefloor piece where guitar and brass sounds intertwine to leave a mark, a constant intrigue and a mysterious atmosphere that hypnotizes you and keeps you moving.

At the helm of the B-side is Lithuanian nightlife powerhouse Roe Deers with “Monotony Killed Dinosaurs”: soft breaks and a tight beat laden with shifting percussion immerse you in the nighttime jungle. “The Darkside of Orgánica” by Frankfurt-based musician Dan Bay is a fusion of the tranquility of nature and a sense of danceable energy; a track that hangs on to raw and dynamic beats and a winding lead, providing a pulsating, hypnotic immersion. Closing the rotation is Guadalajara-based producer Leonor’s ‘RWandaS Bells’, which blends influences of folk music and primal rhythm with a special dub flavour. Close your eyes and embark on a fascinating journey to complete this compilation.

The smell of sweet spices filled the air; a momentary escape for the senses amongst the chaos of the busy streets. People shuffled along chattering excitedly and stopping every now and then to greet one another like long lost friends. Streams of colourful material decorated the walls while intricately detailed lamps hung from hooks eminating a warm glow. The market was full of dusty trinkets and kitsch memorabilia from centuries gone by; a treasure trove of lost possessions and forgotten items that held stories none of us would ever know. If you looked hard enough, you could find exactly what you were looking for here. Things you might not know you'd been searching for all along... 

Good Skills is the new label founded by musicians and friends Liudas Lazauskas AKA Roe Deers and Titas Motuzas in their home of Vilnius, Lithuania. For the first release they're introducing us to the sounds they've been making together as BDHBTS, offering up two originals as well as a eight remixes from friends both local and international. Remixers for the inaugural release include native talent Zakmina, Russia's Wolfstream, German poet Bryan Kessler, Belgian producers Strapontin and Asa Moto, Ombra International boss Curses, Berlin-based Moderna and Tel-Aviv multi-instrumentalist Alek Lee, who provides today's tripped out percussive rework.

We are honored and excited to present the ‘Drum’n Voice Remixed’ album by the legend Billy Cobham in collaboration with Italian’s finest music producers and composers Novecento. 

Acclaimed as jazz-rock fusion's greatest drummer, Billy Cobham has dedicated his whole life to musical exploration and creative expression. Throughout his career he has collaborated with artists like Miles Davis, Horace Silver, Airto Moreira, George Benson and appeared on over 300 recordings, including icons like Peter Gabriel, Quincy Jones, Jack Bruce, Bob Weir, and James Brown. Cobham’s dramatic, explosive power mixed with emotional spontaneity, extraordinary dexterity, and complex style of play brought him global attention and critical acclaim.  The first album ‘Spectrum’ is a masterpiece and still considered a reference album today. 

‘Drum’N Voice’ is a collaborative project with the Nicolosi family, known collectively as Novecento. After reaching the top of the European and American charts with their Italo Disco hits, they decided to explore new ideas and evolve their music leading to a jazz and ambient territory and collaborating with some incredible artists. 

The album, recorded between Milan, London, Los Angeles and New York, also feature collaborations with incredible artists like Eumir Deodato, Stanley Jordan, Frank Gambale, Gregg Kofi Brown, George Duke, Brian Auger, Bob Mintzer. Billy delivers an amazing creativity and listening experience that unveils its unique style in playing drums and percussions. 
The collection include amazing reworks from Ricardo Villalobos & Max Loderbauer, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Danny Krivit, Folamour, S.A.M., Gerd Janson, Khidja, Boris Dlugosch & Cassara, Coeo and Lexx.

We believe reflection, contemplation, (some) stagnation and adaptation are our best ways to go through this situation.  Therefore, we have decided to move forward with our plan to release a little digital compilation to celebrate our 5th la- bel birthday. 5 tracks for 5 years.
To the task we have asked a couple of family members to contribute tracks as well as uncovered some secret ver- sions we've been playing out for quite some time now and felt it is the right time to release them. As you can guess from the tracklist, the compilation is diverse in styles and goes from drones slow trance to diy Post Punk to ambient.

Joakim’s Macrodose is our non-order come true, the refusing of the new normal as a sabbath dance of electronic witch drums.

Just as glaciers heave towards their destiny in slow time, the ship entered the harbour. It’s countless thousands of tons gently docked, and its microbial passengers transmitted onto land. There it waited in silent gravity, expressing weight and weightlessness in one floating gesture. Can we truly fathom the scales of this leviathan?

If Strktur’s first three releases were made for the main room, then his latest album would surely soundtrack the dark room. He leaves behind the grandiosity of his early techno productions to discover a cosmopolitan coldwave swagger on Hors Série, his first LP. Sitting moodily amongst nine other superb tracks of ice-cool electro, 'Le Quai d'en Face' is a leanly arranged cut of austere synth-pop that eschews complexity in favour of a cut-throat groove. Importantly, he cuts ties with Nashton Records, Trau Mar and Airsound Records to self-release the LP on his own Bandcamp, structuring a new identity.
