Jūra Elena Šedytė is composer, vocalist and improviser. Focusing on interaction of voice and electronics, human psychology, social behavior, transdisciplinary creative projects and improvisation moves her to constantly expand the field of her approach and methods in composing and performing music.

The freshest realization of X/TENSIONS for voice and electronics has been performed by Jūra Elena Šedytė and her creative partner Ieva Rižė. In this EP the intangible, invisible and always very unique human instrument - the voice - flourish in the world of objects and symbols, created by two artists. The subtle verbal and instrumental expression metamorphosis, rhythm and vibrations layered with visual materials are born and creates the parallel of the real world. The extension of the body through the voice creates tension in the processes of sound embodiment.

As excitement builds for this year's Convenanza Festival, the event curated by Bernie Fabre and Andrew Weatherall, Höga Nord get set to release a compilation celebrating the artists performing at this years . Among the performers are Komodo Kolektif.  Having been featured on Weatherall's NTS show Music's not for Everyone the Glasgow collective are heading out to Carcasonne to woo the crowds with their unique brand of Cosmic live instrumentation and no doubt the centrepiece will be Daratan Ceremony, a track which straddles the line between Etnofunk and the BBC Radiophonic Workshop.
Tabla sounding drums underpin distorted wind chimes, growling thick bass in a track which in another dimension would be the theme for a warped wildlife documentary series about humans, no doubt being watched by ants or some other dominant technologically advanced species.  Members of the band have released solo on Optimo and Invisible, Inc. and along with several other sometime members have melded live instrumentation with machinery musically in the same way that body horror director David Kronenburg has on film.
Höga Nord's association with Andrew Weatherall continues to be fruitful with this fantastic sampler heading into the weirder and slightly more Cosmic edges of electronic music.

Let's rewind five years to the very beginning. Invisible Inc was started with the aim of releasing to a wider audience music that deserved greater recognition. The primary goal was to unearth music by new and up-and-coming artists. Coming a close second was the desire to bring to the fore the vast amount of music from established or semi-established artists that until then had only been available digitally: music that seemed to vanish into thin air as quickly as it had appeared. Similarly, there was so much music coming out back then on self-released CDrs or cassettes in incredibly small runs - music that deserved being brought out on vinyl and into actual record stores worldwide and thus helping those artists widen their fanbase. This proved to work. Connections between artists and music lovers were made that wouldn't have been made otherwise.

Animaux explores and interprets wild animals through electronic music.

The idea came into fruition through sound experiments made in the past while looking for ways to substitute human singing with other sounds. In simple terms animals are the singers and lead performers in each track.

The instrumental parts of every track are made to support vocalizations of animals and animal voices are chosen to resonate with digital instruments.

Nothing was planned everything was a play.
