"Madrid-based imprint Trauma Collective are back with a vengeance. Their third dispatch comes from Pole Group associate and Order & Devotion main man Mario Campos aka Kwartz. The Reinforced Control EP sees their hometown partner-in-crime deliver more of his typically austere expressions in cerebral techno. Features the brutalist tones of war techno epic "The Nature Of Our Anger" awash in a mesmerising swirl of steely textures and visceral kicks, antagonising you with its erratic tempo shifts. The title track is a cyclical and linear DJ tool, properly geared for those heads-down moments under the strobe light, imposing a powerful groove on you in streamlined fashion. Next up, British legend Mick Harris, who inaugurated the label under his Monrella alias not long ago, returns here for a pounding rework of the track - venturing into greyscale industrial zones. Taking you deeper into amorphous Sunday morning vibes, the Berlin-based producer goes out all guns blazing on the dark patterns and mentalist tunnel vision of "Beneath The Surface"."

Flaminia & VSK deliver three tracks of nimble and nuanced techno.

On the latest installment from Tommy Four Seven's revitalized 47 imprint, artists Flaminia and VSK join forces for the first time in a highly dynamic three-track EP, fusing searing sound design and impeccable production with haunting vocal hooks.

"Elysian" opens the release with peak-time energy that opts for textural depth over sheer intensity. Its magnetic center is a piledriving four-to-the-floor kick and finely chiseled percussion set to the backdrop of Flaminia's whisper. Her voice takes the lead on the B-side, becoming the clipped and chorus-like refrain on "Carpe Noctem"—a gnarled broken beat punctuated by distortion and psychedelic riffs. 47032 closes with "Tenebra," a breakneck drum & bass-indebted cut that combines gated synths with Flaminia's breathy vocals for a minimally constructed yet highly addictive dance track.

The entire package will be available for purchase on November 11th, 2022.

London-based DJ and producer Rommek releases on 47, showcasing his signature brand of seething, fragmented techno in this formidable label debut.

"Arkho" opens the EP with rolling drums before a heavily distorted synth line pierces the atmosphere, evoking tension and unease before launching into a furious lead. On "Silverlock," broken drums skitter across a droning soundscape, while a glitched-out melody adds a dark tint. "Decipher" squirms with a similarly syncopated rhythm and ice cold textures, topped with crisp hi-hats. Closing track "Synthetic Dream" is threatening but never overly dark, stitching weighty drums between tactile, warped-out synth notes. A chilling cut that conveys Rommek's shadowy aesthetic all the way through.

47037 will be released on August 25th, available as limited edition vinyl and digital formats.

Berlin’s Swarm Intelligence joins NEW YORK TRAX Imports to release four fierce, off-beat techno and electro cuts. Tense atmospherics, uncompromising levels of distortion and stark, astute beats constitute a distinctive sound that Swarm Intelligence has been honing for more than a decade seeing him release on labels such as VOITAX, Ad Noiseam, Earwiggle and many more. The Dublin-born, Berlin-based producer is certainly no stranger to the techno world and his reputation of performing menacing live sets and deploying emphatic productions will leave an enduring impression on any listener. ‘NEW YORK TRAX Imports 04’ sees Swarm Intelligence join the New York Trax sub-label following the likes of Drvg Cvltvre, Endlec, Dawid Dahl and Another Alias. ‘Bury’ begins proceedings with powerful, syncopated drums fused with growling oscillations and haunting leads before intense vibrations scattered around resilient percussion and machine-like synth swirls take the focus in ‘Extraction’. On the flip, ‘Verloren’ maintains the sinister atmospherics through distorted kicks, eerie modulations and alarming feels until ‘Reach’ which recorded live, rounds things off with shooting, laser zaps, dramatic soundscapes and broken rhythms emphatically closing this fiery four track EP.

Releasing music since 2009 as Sam KDC, British artist Samuel Wood has grown into one of electronic music's most passionate developers of the outer edge. In recent years, Sam has been an integral part of the Grey Area label and sound, a creative musical pathway that ties a musical bridge between 85 and 128 bpm with crafty polyrhythms. As further evidence of his versatility, his debut LP 'Late Night Innominate' Vol 1 (2015 - Auxiliary) was an entirely ambient long player which found favour across the electronic music world for its emotive power.

Omen Rising, Sam’s debut LP for Horo is also his first full length record to focus entirely on beat driven work. The album further incorporates the occult themes Sam has been using as pervading signifiers since his 2014 EP ‘The Order and the Entity’. Musically, Omen Rising sees the Grey Area sound re built into a hurtling fireball of energy stretching the constraints of what we know as Techno until the straps are blown off. 

Omen Rising is a confident showcase from an artist who has found a defining sound and is revelling in his ability to develop it entirely out on his own.
