Textures Series

Textures 001 kicks of a new series for 2025. 
Picture taken in Cambridge one foggy Thursday evening. 
The pictures (a small series of shadow on raised concrete) inspired me to get back behind the decks and try a new exciting series of music accompaniments to my 'snaps' 
I'll be adding to this series often, (I find its best not confirm dates as I always break them). Expect to see a new image with a new mix as regularly as I can muster.

Part two of a series of mixes based on the theme "texture" This Totem in The museum of Archaeology and Anthropology in Cambridge really caught my eye. 
It inspired this mix. Enjoy. 

 
 

Textures 002

Continuing the textures series. Something that came out of nothing. I've been sitting on this lovely coastal image for while. Textures 003 starts with some introspective deepness and then we get on the groovy loops. It's a short, but oh so sweet mix.  The picture , Suffolk coast in early January inspired the mix. A selection of tunes with thoughtful moments. A lovely walking mix. Another one for your headphones. Image cropped to tease. No manipulation. Enjoy the view. Enjoy the music.

4c - Suffolk coast // 2025

textures 003

A recent trip to Sudbury in Suffolk inspired this mix. A lovely day out in a lovely town. The picture taken of the exterior of the Gainsbourgh house showed the different finishes on the buildings façade. So in the case of this mix I take the literal sense of the word texture. The mix, unlike the others in the series has minimal 4/4 and is more comfortable in the relaxed space. Like the other textures series however I touch on many different genre's as the flow progresses.
