The duo Two Turntable returns with strong creative energy on their new release, Inspire Me EP, delivering two Liquid Drum and Bass tracks shaped by introspection and sonic experimentation.

The opening track, “My Jazz is Jungle”, acts as a bridge between tradition and innovation: deep, organic basslines intertwine with jazz-inspired improvisations, recreating an atmosphere that nods to the genre’s roots while pushing into contemporary territory. Modern Conveniences proudly presents Liberation by Tellus. The EP opens with the energetic title track, showcasing Tellus’s evolving sound. Reuniting with Akuratyde for their first collaboration since 2019’s epic “Tides”, the pair offer up “Down River”, a lush evolving tune with dreamy breakdowns. The EP closes with the introspective “No Pride”, featuring the vocal talent of Australian Spotify sensation QUAILS. The strength of the songwriting on this EP reminds us why Tellus is such a well-respected producer, not afraid to push himself outside of his comfort zone while retaining his signature halftime sound.

About D-Code & Psylence
D-Code & Psylence are brothers from out of East London. Since childhood, they were encouraged to musically pair with D-Code on breaks (tabla) and Psylence on keys (harmonium).

Fast forward to the mid-’90s and the two fell in love with Jungle/Drum & Bass. D-Code was the elder one with the SL1210’s and ever-growing vinyl collection. Psylence was the younger who used to rinse the records practising his double drops while D-Code was out raving.

Production was the next step with the two honing their skills in their home-built studio. Amid DJing at clubs and warehouse parties around East London, the brothers kicked off their discography with releases on East-London-man-about-town Nerm’s Shiva Soundsystem Recordings. They paired up on production duties for BAFTA-nominated music video game DJ Hero. D-Code also became a presenter on BBC Radio 1 for a few years alongside Nerm, and developed his live band Driving Lolita.

Come 2016, D-Code & Psylence decided to focus their vision on making music unbounded by pigeon holes or genre codices. Be it an RnB song or a bass-driven club slammer, the two have created their zone based on one condition - to make music which provokes real emotion. So far, they’ve released on Ram Records sister label ProgRAM, The Weird & The Wonderful, Proximity with remixes on Skint Records and support from Red Bull, 6AM, GQ Style and Clash.

Following the release of his brilliant debut album on Ant TC1’s seminal Dispatch Recordings imprint, Italian mastermind Dabs has personally curated a fresh, energised take on the ‘Wormatic’ LP, which firmly stated its case as one of the finest sonic odysseys of 2019. Now, he utilises that collective, widespread network to bring together one of our favourite, most varied remix EP’s of the year, handpicking messers HLZ, Nymfo, Hybris, Kyrist and Kiril from the Dispatch roster to make their mark on a selection of carefully selected ‘Wormatic’ cuts, as well as bringing through his own extended mix of the stellar ‘Martini’, the latter of which we’ve had the pleasure of premiering for you today.

Originally arriving in the format of a jazzy, funk-inspired interlude on the original LP, ‘Martini’ captured hearts and minds with its playful, meandering live instrumentation and rustic, Italia-aesthetic. Now, all freshly updated and reworked, Dabs has switched things up, setting the pace with a brand new, full-length remix that draws for a number of pinpoint new elements, whilst retaining all the wonderful groove of the original.
