"A multi-talented individual, Jay-R(born Jimmy Mercado Lewis, Jr) is taking the southern Oregon music scene by storm with his very unique style. Putting together a mix of R&B, Hip Hop, Rap and Soul you hear on the radio today, and achieving it very well. Jay-R may be new to the music industry, still working on his debut album, but has had a love for music since the day he was born, and it shows when he sings a song or steps on stage. With influences from Marvin Gaye, Boyz 2 Men all the way to Usher and T.Q. you never know what to expect when u play a track from Jay-R, but you can always bet that people will love it! With a fan base that always continues growing, especially in Southern Oregon, Jay-R along with his affiliates, have been working to spread their music as much as possible, opening up for acts such and Frankie Hernandez, Luni Coleon, Babylon Saints and the Ying Yang Twins. With the hope that his music will touch and change the lives of many with his heart felt soul/R&b songs such as Grow and Bad Guy, telling stories of his and many of his friends lives, to his more Hip Hop/Rap type songs like Sick and Spartan Jay-R has the versatility and ambition to take the world by storm"

Combining elements of classic rock, soul, and swamp rock into something fresh - three musicians set out to create something of a retro rock hybrid. Forming melodic and catchy song structures with dynamic and unique percussion, they aim to re-introduce the 60's and 70's music they grew up on with a modern twist.

Music in my first fluent language... Its universal! I can better explain how I feel with music rather than words in any situation and under any circumstance. My style (if that's what you want to call it) is intricate, and uniquely varies every time I start composing. Hence the name $HIFTY BEATZ! If you're interested in obtaining my music for personal use, just ask... I'm very generous! Music should be spread across the world! So chances are, if you're intentions are to further enhance your musical inclination, I will gladly share what I have created. Enjoy the sounds!
