Los Angeles-based artist One Child Policy gets our week started with this curated Guest Mix.

One Child Policy recently launched his new label alongside the release of his "It Mirrored Me" EP, which is available here: www.kickstarter.com/projects/diannao001/one-child-policys-it-mirrored-me-on-vinyl

One Child Policy is the solo moniker of 曹偌伟 / Dennis Ruowei Cao, a  producer, DJ, and sound designer. Cao was raised by two electrical engineers who sparked his fascination with electronic music at a very early age.  His breakthrough debut, ‘Cultural Transmissions’, released in November 2017, delivered a unique take on atmospheric techno, electro, acid and leftfield house. It was well received by the likes of Mixmag, Resident Advisor, and XLR8R. 

Since then he's also released on labels such as Black Lodge, Guangzhou Underground and Arca's Mutants Mixtape. And appeared on Rinse FM, NTS, Dublab, and various other radio stations.  'It Mirrored Me (它反映了我)' EP marks the first release on Cao’s label Dian Nao (电脑, “electronic brain”), which will serve as a platform for his own productions and future releases from forward-thinking electronic artists.

Sticking with introducing our residents and local matadors, as we have done for the last few editions, we've invited RAVN JONASSEN for Episode 55.

Ravn has been a regular guest here at Suicide Club for several years now with the event series of his eponymous label Burial Soil. He is also one of the core members of our Transmission :: Berlin event series.

When asked about his musical career, the Berlin based DJ and producer gave us the following statement: „ I was never a big fan of self staging and the growing aggressive promotion that took over the music scene. Let the music speak for itself seems like a legit statement, but nowadays it sounds like a proclamation against all this commercializing of a culture, that means so much more to several generations.“

By the way, this Friday a 5track EP will be released on his label with remixes by Radioactive Man and DJ Frankie.
