Regis first created a label with a D.I.Y. approach. Then he went on to play at massive festivals and events for almost thirty years. Karl O'Connor better known as Regis has been pushing boundaries in various ways in the music industry. He is one of the originators from the emergence of the Birmingham sound, and founder of the influential Downwards label with co-owner Peter Sutton (aka Female) since 1993. Regis talks about the music industry, the beginning days of Downwards, and his upcoming performance at COMPOUND LA for the brand's annual New Year's Eve event. 

The underground massive two-night COMPOUND NYE + NYD experience in Los Angeles is soon approaching. Expect a full sensory experience and immersive visuals by Sorcery, with a lineup boasting 18 world-class techno artists including Jeremy Olander, Nur Jaber, Sorcery (Live), Atish, Sophia Saze, Drumcell, and Regis alongside his label mate Silent Servant.

As a child, K.atou worshiped at the altar of the family stereo and passionately taped her favorite jams, immersing herself in record collecting at the age of 17 and starting a radio show during her studies in Corfu. After spending time in London and Berlin, she moved back to Athens in 2009 and established residencies at Six d.o.g.s., a series of parties with Roussos under the name “No Expectations”, regular appearances at the queer mobile parties “Qreclaim” and as a resident DJ at PTX Athens with her second moniker “Janet Davis”. Meanwhile, her international DJ schedule blossomed, with performances across Europe, South America, Israel and the U.S. She also currently holds two residencies on Fade Radio and Movement Radio. With her mind focused on carving this dedicated path through DJing, K.atou maintains her position at the forefront of the electronic music scene. The ingredients of her particular sound can be attributed to the classic realms of the 90s house and techno from Detroit, Chicago and Frankfurt, with a penchant of the trippy, dubbed out and sublime.

Sync 24 (Phil Bolland) is an electro artist and DJ, label boss of Cultivated Electronics and promoter of London based Electro night Scand. He has also recorded under the name MMT-8 with Ed DMX and Signal Type with Matt Whitehead.
 
Phil’s first exposure onto the electro scene as Sync 24 was in 2003 when he had two releases on Andrea Parker’s label Touchin Bass. In 2007 he started his own label Cultivated Electronics which has gone from strength to strength, releasing his own material along with artists as diverse as ERP, DMX Krew, James T Cottton, Radioactive Man, The Exaltics, Morphology and Silicon Scally. Distributed by Clone, the label is now an established underground purveyor pushing the electro sound for over a decade.
 
Sync 24’s production and sets combine dark and moody with the funk. With releases on Electrix, Solar One, C.P.U and his own Cultivated Electronics his music is being championed by respected Dj’s such as Dave Clarke, DJ Stingray and Helena Hauff. His sets are always geared towards getting the party moving!
