A true pioneer of the techno scene, Italian DJ and producer Gaetano Parisio needs no introduction but we'll just underline that since his first steps in the then-burgenoning electronic world back in 1992, his influence on the sound hasn't flinched one bit. Responsible for countless seminal releases on the likes of Primate, Zenit, Mosaic, his own structures Conform, ART and Southsoul and a myriad more, Gaetano has been pushing techno in new directions with ultimate drive and devotion to duty. Clocking in with a two-hour trip into his boundary-pushing headspace, the Neapolitan maestro treats us to a wild ride of trampling uptempo funk, sci-fi-indebted flights and further alien-engineered heaters. The forward-looking power of rave in its purest expression.

@norbakmusic, a DJ/producer and a pivotal member of the Hayes Collective, takes the helm in this week's podcast. The Portuguese artist makes use of a thorough knowledge of classic techno and fuses it with modern sound design, the result of which is a signature sound that has seen worldwide support from tier-1 artists and mammoth labels such as Soma Records, Warm Up Recordings and Mord. 

His continued evolution and forward thinking posture can be felt deeply through his sets and releases, where he seamlessly combines a dancefloor attitude with the experimentalism of IDM. The next 60-minutes is a showcase of his textural story telling through hypnotic sequences and rolling basslines, featuring upcoming tracks on Hayes along with recent favorites from friends and fellow producers.

Very happy to share the recording of my live set at Stone Techno Festival last summer.  Summer was full of highlights and this show was definitely one of them, with such a great energy and crowd at the stage hosted by Fuse. 

Technology will never be able to recreate a vibe on a dancefloor (I hope), but those who were there that day know it was something very special.
