Joe Farr's remix EP is definetly something to be to afraid of, fearsome beats that would tear up any dance floor. MOTZ presents Altar's remix of 'Don't be Afraid'.

This comes in heavy with a pounding kick that leaves us in suspense while 'don't be afraid' lingers building into a breakbeat. It then builds up and progresses with ravey synths. This track has the main constructs of 90's euphoric banger,definitely one for the bag!

PREMIERE: JoeFarr - Don't Be Afraid (Altar Remix)

Scottish duo Clouds has been turning out quality techno for more than a decade on a variety of labels (Electric Deluxe, Opal Tapes, Turbo, Soma), and their recent hardcore- and rave-tinged dispatches via the Headstrong imprint they run alongside fellow UK producer Randomer have been particularly intriguing. Now, the pair has started up another label called Maxiboy, which they describe as "a vessel for experimentation within the realms of highly functional techno." The first EP, 'Running It,' will arrive on May 27, but ahead of that we debuted the booming title track on Red Bull Radio's First Floor, our weekly look at what's new in electronic music.

A blistering six track compilation project with some of the hottest names in techno is the latest in STRISCTRX stream of stellar releases.

STRISCTRX was established by the mysterious producer, STRISC, in 2017. With a sound that was born bubbling beneath the dancefloors of Berlin’s underground clubs, STRISCTRX’s onslaught of killer releases has seen the label charge to the forefront of the international techno scene.

The latest jewel in the label’s crown is a compilation EP entitled VA. The six-track techno tour-de-force features a formidable tracklist of some of the most exciting names in the scene.

STRISC. himself kicks off his label’s tenth release with a sinister slammer. Intense, unsettling, and unforgiving, Vred holds testament to the buzz surrounding the enigmatic producers name.

Kosovian producer Vegim is responsible for the next BPM assault. Transmit Minds sounds as if it’s dangling on the edge of the unconscious as distorted synths pierce through the furious kick driven beat.

The third track is an original mix from the head honcho of Emphatic Records and Black Codes Experiments, Ian Axide. Entitled Instinct, this track packs a punch with thunderous pace whilst retaining depth and an undercurrent of foreboding synths.

Omnia Temporaria, is another razor sharp techno weapon from Italian DJ and producer, Monolyth. Relentless percussion builds pressure as twitchy, eerie synths takes the tension to a chaotic climax.
 
Track 5 comes from German producer Kon Janson. Restructure submerges the listener in a jittering fever dream with some big, bold synths packing a gut-wrenching punch for good measure.

Liquefatto is the sixth and final track by the hero of Italy’s underground club scene, Alex Dolby. Compared to it’s forerunners this track eases off the accelerator to create something deep, dark and entirely hypnotic.

Armed with six epic tracks, the tenth release on STRISCTRX is another flawless stamp on STRISC’s career as his label continues to build an ammo of world class techno with unstoppable momentum.

Voices From Isolation I

Premiere: WarinD "MGx2" - Dissonanze Recordings

Madrid based artist _asstnt returns to his newly formed Opera 2000 label with four pounding techno cuts entitled ‘Heartless’ EP.

_asstnt’s sound comes from the heart of a passionate artist conveying romanticism, truth and dedication within his music and philosophy. The DJ and producer from Madrid breaks into the underground scene with an industrial, dirty and melancholic sound that stems from his love for hardstyle or hardcore that was instilled in him from an early age. In 2017 his first track was released on an Involve Records compilation together with the artist Roll Dann before starting the Opera 2000 label together in 2020 whose inaugural release saw the light of day in February 2020 and picked up support from the likes of Charlotte de Witte, Matrixxman, Truncate, Fernanda Martins and many more.

'Broken Ties’ rounds things off with a 90s trance feel featuring psychedelic, revolving bass notes and fast-paced grooves that continue to pulsate throughout the effervescent finisher.

Let's start the set with some tension to move on to melancholic and trancy tracks to make room for dark to mental techno. Let's continue with EBM tracks and breaks to close the set lightly.

I like dark techno, with a deep and threatening atmosphere that contrasts with the euphoric tracks, looking for that particular balance between light and dark. Whatever the genre, the dialect is reflected in the progression and negation between the tracks. I tried to write a story with a proper intro and outro. Thank you for listening.
