At only eighteen years old, Paris DJ and producer u.r.trax has a C.V that would make most seasoned selectors blush. Blending the innocence of youth with a ferocious production palette, the emerging techno star has already played Concrete, Dehors Brut and La Toilette, and has released on Hector Oaks Kaos label, having become infatuated with the sound at a young age - even visiting Tresor at just fourteen!

From death comes rebirth, and on ‘Dying Generation' u.r.trax flies the flag for future-gazing doof with its twisting, left-field turns and throbbing noise. An instant Berlin classic. The glitch and suspense of ‘What Was On Their Mind’ melts into the ravers core; alarm bells ring, heartbeats race and eyes widen on its six minute journey.

The headsy vibes on ‘You Are Your Own Distraction’ is a welcome switch-up, it’s punchy kicks and bouncy aesthetic inviting the listener to dance as weird as they want, before the techno tradition is dropped in favour of hefty cut of electro flavour, moulding the artists own vocals with her production for a “Miss Kitten 2.0” vibe.

Galaxial atmospherics, horror-synths and anxious energy bow us out on ‘Race Against Time’, completing the package with a furious digi-only rework from MRD.

Premiere: Barbosa "Foxxy" - Heist Mode

Drawing tangible inspiration from the early 2000s hard techno and groove hiatus, Evan Marshall’s artistry continues to blossom, as the DJ is fast becoming a regular on the DJ circuit, plus one of the most prolific releaser of tunes in the whole country. 

Today we premiere his latest release entitled 'Cairo At Night'.  Arabic inspirations permeate through the whole single from Alt8, dropping on @denseandpika's Kneaded Pains label, backed with a remix from fellow rising Irish artist, Aero.

In its original mix, ‘Cairo At Night’ pummels its way through spiritually charged vocals, bouncing tom toms and throbbing bass for quite the unique and transcendental techno vibe! Dublin based Aero slots in a remix that yields an alternate and raw take, rattling and grimy basement beats underpinning the divine mood.

Early support on the release has received great feedback from; Amelie Lens, DJ Bone, Dax J, Nicole Moudaber, Coyu and many more.


Alt8 has been producing since 2019, drawing influence from old school hard techno when devising drum sequences. He has released for labels such as Reckless, Rave Alert and Moments In Time.
