Three years after pushing the KD Music label to dance music’s forefront, Germany’s premier tech-house twins Kaiserdisco thought the time was right to give themselves a new home to double their production power and prestige. Never settling for second best, and considering their already storied history that has achieved critically acclaimed albums, essential remixes, appearances on foremost underground labels and tours around the globe, there’s was an unrelenting need for something similar but different, an extra production line bringing dancefloor fire and DJ booth brimstone from another non-compromising angle. 

2014 gave forth to the concept of KD Raw, an imprint that’s all in the name. It lends itself to the same long-established quality that KD Music guarantees from its Hamburg headquarters, whether that be from Kaiserdisco themselves or a host of global contributors who range from future hot tickets to old hands at the game of house. But now, with the focus on techno pressure and uncut beats and vibes, the KD brand now has extra revs and a bigger number of backsides to kick. 

Taking it upon themselves to set KD Raw’s route in motion with opening EP ‘Three Lions’ b/w ‘Fifth Element’, Alex Costa and Kasbah Zoo & OniWax, as well as a Raw Remix EP featuring contributions from Luca Agnelli, Arjun Vagale & Ramiro Lopez, have already had the fledgling label sweeping aside all before them, driven to reflect the label’s distinctive artwork – an outstretched palm indicating that none shall pass and that where techno is now concerned, the buck stops here.

'Understand' takes on a brighter peak time vibe with a chest-pounding kick drum, followed by the atmospheric vocal hits. The rolling bass is uplifting but until all tension is released on the final drop with a vicious synth riff to finish off. A satisfying and solid EP for the yellow masked duo.

Alan Fitzpatrick welcomes Southampton producer Ronnie Spiteri for his sixth release on We Are The Brave; a full throttle 3 tracker sure to kick up a storm on dance-floors worldwide. 

A regular on Tronic, Mobilee and Hot Since 82's Knee Deep In Sound, Spiteri's diverse musical output spans various genres. All three tracks on his latest WATB EP are dark and tantalising. 

"Devils Dust" opens the release with its booming kickdrum and shuffling hi-hats that sandwich the dubby chords and arpeggio synth line. "Amnesia" is all about the spine-tingling lead synth, and "Red Zone" closes out the release with explosive snare rolls and a hypnotic groove.

Alan Fitzpatrick’s We Are The Brave welcomes back imprint regular A.S.H for the record label’s second release of 2022.

A.S.H has been a firm favourite with We Are The Brave fans since his debut in 2018 and has since released on various other Techno imprints including Spektre's Respekt Recording.

“Obsession” marks A.S.H’s fifth EP on We Are The Brave, in addition to his numerous remixes and compilation tracks on the label. The Portsmouth based artist enlists Hard House pioneer BK for remix duties on this release.

BK’s remix of “Clarity” opens the release with a monstrous lead synth that engulfs the dancefloor. Acidic tones are augmented by pounding percussion to deliver an explosively palpable energy. The tension building groove of “Obsession” is the second track on the EP, and the first of A.S.H’s originals. A.S.H closes proceedings with his original mix of “Clarity”, a techno stomper which delivers an unrelenting onslaught of captivating suspense.

Marked by progression and constant evolution, Nicolaas Black unveils his newest project, Closer Orbit. When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. But when life gives you Dennis Apec, you sure as hell make sure that you are able to release him on your label. Because that is what happened earlier this year on the Dancefair in the Netherlands when Dennis Apec handed over his demo-usb to Pursuit.

Rob Hes had just launched his label and hosted a demo-drop at one of the largest dance-seminars for upcoming producers in the Netherlands. With much to his surprise, Dennis’ demo immediately blew Rob’s mind. The two producers stayed in touch and started sending feedback and tracks back and forth. The first release was only a matter of time. 

With his first track on Wild Cards “Bring Me Home” gave us already a sneak preview of his sound, but the In My Mind EP really delivers the goods.
