He'll give you a trip through the possibilities of velocities and tonal spheres as a Multi-Instrumentalist. He experiments live with the driving force of percussive Polyrhythms and Polymeters.

He invites you to "The Aentitaet Experience" with many concepts of dramaturgy and story-telling. Take a seat and listen to the psychedelic journey through the unheard realms of the meta. Float with him to the event horizon of human experience.

The fifth episode of our Vault Series is brought to you by @shroederin. By contributing this mix to our series she wants to draw attention to one of the largest independent private aid organisations in Germany, namely the Welthungerhilfe. 

In addition to the current Corona circumstances, East Africa and South Asia are currently suffering from one of the worst plagues of locusts in the last 25 years. In Kenya, Ethiopia, Somaliland and Uganda, locusts are threatening the survival of pastoralists and small farmers in affected areas. According to the UN, about 13 million people are at risk of losing their livelihoods, leaving them threatened by hunger.

The massive swarms of locusts can eat entire tracts of land bare in a matter of hours. This represents an enormous threat, particularly for the rural population: Pastoralists can hardly find anything for their animals to eat, and small farmers are concerned about their harvests. The disaster is hitting regions that have already been suffering for years from the effects of climate change (droughts, cyclones, floods, etc.)

Welthungerhilfe is active in the affected countries and supports the people who have been hit particularly hard by the locust plague. Both nutritional safety and support for the preservation of livestock are of top priority.

Nebula Vault Series 005 - shrœderin

Affûté broadens the scope of its sound once more by adding Amandra to the roster. The young artist delivers two tracks made of his signature sound: mechanical rhythms and repetitive melodies.

French comrade AWB’s remix is a distinctive and clever remodel cut of Ruban Rouge, further deepening the emotion of the track.

Edit Select brings a darker, haunting touch to Tour Karin with his modus operandi akin to Amandra’s: a slow, subtle and detailed progression.

Téo Dréan gives Tour Karin more horsepower, coupling a heavy kick with wondrous choir sounds.

Though Isolated Lines is still a relatively new project, the man behind the moniker has been involved in band projects, sound engineering jobs and Switzerland's underground music scene in general for some years. Coming from a background of listening to and playing in rock, indie and noise groups, his tracks are as much informed by the energy and dynamics of live performance and sound science as they are by the endless possibilities of electronic production. So far, they have found a home on established Swiss label Creaked and been picked up by CLR and Stroboscopic Artefacts artist Tommy Four Seven for release on his 47 imprint.

Isolated Lines productions are warmly textural and full of subtleties, usually favouring trippy, hypnotic grooves over outright aggression. Whilst most of the detail is consciously designed, Isolated Lines makes music in a way which leaves space for randomness and organic elements; listen to the off-kilter swing of 'Raze' or his remix for Gaspard De La Montagne, for example. Especially through a decent sound system, the layers evolve and interact with an exciting air of unpredictability.

As with his studio gear, the live setup is subject to constant change and development. Certain characteristics remain within the sound and the way it is presented though: ambitious arrangements, soaring, euphoric pads and hard-hitting drums. His material is versatile enough for pitch-black basements and early morning festival sets alike.

Blizzard Audio Club is an independent electronic-driven music label created around the ambition to release LPs, cassettes and all other kinds of sound formats. The label based in La Chaux-de-Fonds also aims to be a crutch for artists during the production of their work, as well as a promotion and visibility platform for them.

CNCPT brings the Berlin experimental Techno vibes, adding even more unusual night-time synth patterns into the originals, turning them into what they perhaps should have always been.

Sofia Acosta is a multidisciplinary artist focusing on sound, DJing and visual arts. Coast2c composes electronic music that shifts from acid, drone and experimental techno.

This variety of sounds is well captured in her latest EP, 'Vault'. The project kicks off with “Bones”, a one take live recording of several different synths. The evocative combination of bells, noise and acid leaves you wanting more. “Time is Not Linear” is a study of synthesis in drum machines and loops, created by the raw and atonal sounds of modular synthesis. “Cornelius” combines ominous keys, scattered percussion, and a vocal sample to create an explosive track. The final cut “Vault” is an attempt to layer live acid sounds with samples on top of the software version of the legendary Linndrum drum machine.

Here’s what Coast2c had to say about the release:

“I wrote this E.P in 2020. It is an archive of my learning process on how to record with hardware and analog gear. After DJing for more than a decade, my interest shifted in producing and in 2018 I dived into learning hardware and modular synthesis. I was drawn to exploring sound and thanks to the community space at S1/ Synth Library in Portland I was able to learn, experiment and record with all sorts of gear. This year (and under the lockdown circumstances with no chances to perform live or DJ) I focused my practice on translating and expanding those sounds into songs so I focused mostly on learning how to use a DAW as it was my most readily available tool to work with. Vault EP is an archive of all those explorations, of trying new things and figuring out solutions to my questions and problems as they arise.”
