A 22 Techno producer who hails from Manchester (UK), Ketek who firstly released hard Techno tracks, then explored the beauty of creating & mixing Hard Groove Techno in which has become his permanent style with tribal percussion, loud kicks & electrifying stabs as well as rhythmic experimental synths to really push his passion for the evolution of Techno. Following up with having his first Vinyl Release on a LABŪRNUM VA, also a debut ep on Concrete Berlin which all express his style & love for the Techno dancefloor.

Long gone times when a person would live their life in a singular layer of reality - nowadays the change is so swift and radical, that we manage to live actual multiple lifetimes within our allotted time on Earth. What took once a century to master, is expected of us to do in a decade, and then masterfully transform into the next thing. Is this metamorphosis the next step in human evolution or an unnecessary cause of our collapse to come?

DJ Dextro returns to Consumed Music, this time with a driving hypnotic 2-tracker, bound to become a new favorite dancefloor tool.

The efficient bassline-driven title track builds tension with its industrial pad and synth sequence, sprinkled through with detuned fx, while the groovy ‘Optical Illusion’ takes on a journey with its versatile driving bassline, detuned synth shots, looped vox and 808-esque drums.

Morsil and techno are a case of overwhelming and unbridled passion. One of 
those types that happen at first glance, without context or explanation. A 
relationship as unlikely as late, since not even her first contacts with music have 
made it predictable. Fan of metal and rock, influenced by friends, and later 
hardcore and drum n' bass, it is through these styles that she has first entered 
the world of electronic music. 
Born in the 90s, in Porto, she is part of a generation that embraced first hand 
the growth of the techno scene in Portugal. As she reached the age to go 
clubbing, clubs like Gare, Industria and Lux increased their offer and turned this 
country into a desirable destination for the best Techno artists in the world. 
Names like Oscar Mulero and Regis are the example for many and Morsil is no 
exception. However, all this would not be enough to make her what she is 
today. The absorption of various styles and musical trends, the generational 
influence are clearly key factors. But the rest comes from her own innate 
abilities: complete control of space and time as soon as she takes her role in 
the booth, unpredictability combined with an intrinsic ability to go beyond 
borders, not imposing limits on her eclecticism, and at the same time always 
keeping her musical line: music with texture, hypnotic obscurity, heavy, hard 
and mechanical movements, sometimes faster, sometimes slower, but always 
with the ability to transport. Playing with light and different atmospheres and 
converging it on a main goal, which is to make the listeners dance. Preferably 
with eyes closed, embracing the darkness of the trip.

Soma’s Collective Process VA’s reaches Vol. 6 and once again delivers on heavy, rising Techno talent. The monster 6 track release, courtesy of Rudosa, Dave Wincent, X-Tension, Truant.J, Hemissi & Unperson has a diverse mix of styles and has each artist at the top of their game.

UK based, man of many talents, Rudosa, opens the EP with Consumed. A no-nonsense dance floor terror designed for that warehouse, peak time moment. Dave Wincent returns to Soma once again with his deep and trippy sound on Radar II. Another familiar face drops in as German hard techno maestro, X-Tension, drops the rave infected, industrial weapon Schwarmblut. Truant.J makes his Soma debut with the dark and atmospheric Shape of The Morning. Hitting the deeper side of things, Hemmisi once again shines with the minimalistic Sextuple. Closing out the latest Collective Process is the shadowy Unperson with the mysterious figure cutting a fast paced yet emotive piece on Marchand Du Sel.

After a long break, Tympanum Records is back with a remix pack for the seminal collaborative EP between EAS and Garrett Hunter, “Bored Machine”. With a wide array of stylizations being depicted, and with a bevy of remarkable talent, this compilation is not one to miss for any Techno enthusiast.

 We start with Ascetic Limited boss and dear friend of Tympanum Records, Secus. This rendition of ‘A Trial’ features dark grooves, foreboding soundscapes, and a hypnotic energy. A wonderfully atmospheric remix, an interesting juxtaposition to the original’s slamming, distorted, synthesized Berliner ideals.

Next up is a slamming rearrangement of ‘A Trial’ from the UK living legend himself, Perc. This remix from the Perc Trax bossman contains saturated madness, piercing snares, blistering highs, cathartic groove building, and an unrelenting energy sure to destroy dancefloors. 

From there, we 180 back to the dark stylizations of Tympanum co-owner, Josh Sturges. His take on the titular ‘Bored Machine’ is a plunge into broken-beat, Synyster machinery, with trance-inducing, yet gut-punching percussion, vocal repetition, and chilling ambiance. 

The collection is concluded with a wild, Hardcore take on ‘Bored Machine’ by Crisis Of Man label boss and fast-rising SoCal talent, Selective Response. His remix is a nod to the Gabber style, breakneck speed, devil-may-care attitude, hammering kick drums, and distorted crunched haymakers of pure percussive power. The ‘Bored Machine Remixed’ EP is an unrelenting, emphatic compilation of a variety of styles, all done with true mastery. It’s a pack sure to spark the excitement of any underground rave, and many dancefloors to come.
