'24th April 2020 sees relentless Rome-based selector and label owner Frankyeffe release his Rave Alarm EP. This essential three-track project arrives as the Italian DJ/producer’s second issue on Northern Irish imprint, Misfit Music.
 
Proving himself as one of the most prolific DJs on the planet, Italian techno sensation, Frankyeffe is yet to roll back his unstoppable streak. Just three weeks after his hypnotic Hear Me EP on Coyu’s Suara, he’s back to announce his brand-new Rave Alarm project – his fourth in EP of 2020. Branded with the Belfast-based label’s trademark geometric artwork, Rave Alarm succeeds Frankyeffe’s 2019 label debut, Fire Stone EP. Frankyeffe, who also heads up his own Riot Recordings label, has previously featured on the likes of Senso Sounds, JAM, We Are The Brave, Filth On Acid, Tronic, Kraftek and Terminal M.

Re-establishing his domineering approach to dance music, title track, ‘Rave Alarm’ blasts off carrying impenetrable depth and intensity. Pounding drum patterns and staccato, laser-style synths command Franyeffe’s familiar powerhouse production. ‘Respect’ follows and pulses with static synth arrangements. Reverberated tonal interludes separate the dense melodic continuity. An unlikely standout, Frankyeffe steers away from his often-stylistic dissonance, and instead delivers a sure-fire floor filler on ‘Slide’. Revealing his skilled capabilities behind an infectious hook, the final track is a driving, euphoria-inducing classic.'

Portuguese producer Insical debuts on @minimalsessions  this May with four heavy techno cuts including a remix from Stephen Disario.

Insical has a mysterious background, coming from the distant outdoor rave scene of Portugal, where he grew up until he was 19 years old until moving to London, where he spent 6 years honing his craft and absorbing all the electronic music culture he could. Once a part of the electronic group Blare, Miguel has several years of experience as a dance music connoisseur and sound designer and has since expanded to newer fields of music production including collaborations with artists such as Rabbit in the Moon, Gunslinger, as well as starting the Insical project, inspired by his true passions.

Up first is 'Rift’, a bumpy techno wobbler featuring resonant drums, spiralling oscillations and warehouse themed atmospheres before ‘The Passing’ deploys shimmering modulations, deep vibrating kicks and looping, machine-like synths floating above.

‘Voices’ lays focus on menacing soundscapes through eerie leads, undulating rhythmic percussion and apocalyptic moods until prominent LA based producer and DJ Stephen Disario finishes off proceedings with a thunderous remix of ‘Rift’ delivering sharp, edged grooves and roaring yet hypnotic sonics in this intriguing techno roller.

Hailing from Budapest, Steam Shape make their OFF Recordings debut.

The title track „Freefall“ is an apocalyptic peaktime bomb; heavily distorted vocals laid on top of a relentless groove.

„Power Of Imagination“ also features an infectious vocal, paired with distorted synth stabs.

The third original „Mass“ follows up in similarly energetic fashion, replacing the vocal with equally effective synths.

OFF mainstay Toni Dextor offers a remix, taking a no-nonsense-approach in his unforgiving dark and toolish style.
