Berlin duo, Kaiser Souzai are an unstoppable force within the industry. What began as a music collaboration, has now become much more than that with the creation of their own musical genre of Art-rock Tech, drawing influence from 70's greats such as Pink Floyd, Genesis and Yes, yet still keeping to their roots of deep and progressive techno, electrifying dancefloors across the globe.

The duo put themselves on the electronic map initially with releases such as 'Girl', and their Cloud series, 'Altocummulus Floccus', 'Stratocumulus' and 'Cirrus'. The last few years has seen Kaiser Souzai build a unique brand representing and creating that art-rock niche which has had critical reception from all over. Always regularly featuring in the electronic top 10 of various portals, the duo has further solidified their name with the creation of Ballroom Records, a label which has grown from strength to strength with a taste-making roster that puts out some of techno's best new music alongside vibrant label nights that keep giving and giving. 

Kaiser Souzai grew from the dark depths of their studio, knocking out track after track until like a flicker of light, the world began to recognise what they were about. Taking the stage with their incredible live performances and productions, Kaiser Souzai are continuing to emblazone the world with their unique brand that nobody will forget.

'Our Kiwi brother DILBY was on fire in 2018. He delivered 2 EP's on MOTHER RECORDINGS and managed to secure back to back Top 10 hits with each release. Well, if this new EP is any indication, 2019 is going to be even bigger!

Up first is Rio Grande. A club destroying dance floor heater that features DILBY s signature drum filled tribalism on top of a punchy, grooving sub bass. Of course it wouldn't be a DILBY jam without a catchy sing-along vocal which brings even more ethnic flavour to this hedonistic afro workout!

On the flip we are treated to an energetic house bomb titled Keep On Dancing. This is a powerful club record which gives off a distinct late 90's vibe with it's filtered disco groove and tough analog drum programming. A deep, warm bass line rolls heavily across the low frequency as loopy vocal hooks and crunchy vocal shots keep the dance floor locked in as the energy erupts in the break.'

Anyone who’s encountered Ballroom Records’ output from the past while will know all too well that this is a label that doesn’t take half measures when it comes to churning out uncompromising techno. Indeed, this is particularly apparent in the output of the label owner and key protagonist, Kaiser Souzai, who marks his debut here for DJ Boris’ @transmit-recordings label courtesy of an EP that speaks volumes of his ability to consistently come up with innovative and fresh-sounding techno jams. 

"Andrins Quest" is a bass heavy track notable for its drama, suspense and build up, and is the kind of carefully construed cut that will go down a treat when the ‘floor is at its most fervent and demanding.
