On the Zeroreux EP, Joton delivers four strong cuts that perfectly matches Format trademarked basement techno vibe. Up first is the title track, which sets the tone with an ensemble of solid kicks and whirling synth stabs. Setaoc Mass drops a bass-heavy remix of the track that will definitely do the damage on the floor. Adding a scruffier, slightly more metallic groove to the mix, ‘Doscope’ weaves in dubby sounds and minimal percussion. Closing the EP is ‘Develose’, an uptempo and industrial belter designed for peaktime purposes. 
FR016 continues Format’s quality discography with another release that’s not to be missed.

Kas:st release the anthemic ‘Hold Me To The Light’ on Afterlife with a Tale Of Us remix.

The French duo Kas:st are behind the highly-anticipated vocal track that has been creating special moments in recent sets. The original is arranged to journey through downtempo, piano and vocoder sections as well as a powerful peak. Tale Of Us’ remix extends its climax into a true dancefloor epic. The vocal breakdown, subtle progressions and monumental sound design is the perfect complement to Kas:st’s own masterpiece.

On the record’s B-side, ‘The Hymn Of Fallen Dreams’ switches the title-track’s lyrics for a more understated, ghostly lead line whilst retaining its extended form. Closing track ‘Be Yourself’ is the most direct of the four with a groove and deep pulse primed for the peak-hours.

French label Meant has had a great run of things in 2012 with standout release from Vosper, Rework and Remain vs Populette getting love from DJs across the board and extensive press support. Now the imprint looks to an act that have already proved their worth with previous releases, the excellent Monoblok&PSLKTR.
Monoblok&PSLKTR have been working together since 2009 and have been responsible for releases on Notorious Elektro and Lebensfreud Records as well as of course the Meant label. Their unique take on the modern sound of electro has given them a loyal fan base and this latest release with its intense feel and stellar remix selection is certain to attract plenty of attention.
The EP kicks off with title track ‘Spooky’, a rolling, dark edged affair that melds element of electro and techno into a cut that is intense from beginning to end. Vocoded vocals, off kilter synth parts and nagging top lines tie the record together and make for a rollercoaster of a listen! The original is accompanied by a remix from French production heavyweight Michel Amato AKA The Hacker who turns into a full bore, old school electro workout that is simply stunning.
The flipside of the vinyl gets going with ‘Sigminder’ featuring MTH, a brooding and squelchy electronic workout that walks a balanced line between dark and light with its swirling FX and close to distortion synth riffs, quality stuff. The remix duties on ‘Sigminder’ are handed to LaDameNoir who deliver a hypnotic reworking that retains much of the original character whilst very much stamping it’s own sound on things.
There are 2 digital exclusives, the Vosper remix of ‘Sigminder’ which delivers some quality techno and the ‘Assault on Meant 15 edit’ of Spooky that offers up some slo-mo soundtrack action.

This 9 Essentials edition is quite dance floor orientated and starts with a vocal from one of the last Figure Records releases. We like Len Faki’s label Figure a lot and thought that this vocal is a great intro for the mix. The second track is a remix from Len Faki and we actually play it quite often as an intro track. It builds up a nice energy and brings people into the right mood for a Pan-Pot set :) Solaris Iterations from Kaspiann is an amazingly deep techno track. Great grooves with deep atmospheres. The following track is a remix from Kyle Geiger. Loving the (Italo) disco vibe in it. Next up is DEAS with his track Space race. The whole EP of Deas is a banger. Same as Rocko Garoni’s track “It’s All Yours“ feat Cook Strummer. Super dark and deep techno. Second State’s longterm member Michael Klein delivered a banger with Hoisin which follows Rocko’s track. The track “Reason“ from Proxima is a moody acid banger and always works brilliantly in clubs. Last but not least as an outro we chose a breakbeat remix from Delta Funktionen to roundup the whole mix. Even though she’s contributed numerous single tracks and remixes to Elements over the years, Rebekah’s last full release on the label was its inaugural outing in 2014. She now makes her highly anticipated return with a forward thinking five tracker designed to rip dancefloors apart.

Beirut-based record label System Revival is back with yet another superb charity compilation. After two widely successful compilations that label released in 2020 whose funds went towards the victims of the explosion in Beirut, funds from this year's compilation called 'Zero Hunger' will go towards World Food Program.

Some of the artists that contributed their work for 'Zero Hunger' compilation are Albert van Abbe, Blazej Malinowski, Charles Green, Einox, Kessel, Mary Yuzovskaya, Miller & Bosscher, Montero & Raul Alvarez, Opuswerk, Tapefeed, Temudo, VSK, Zemög, etc...

Our premiere for today is a beautiful drone ambient called 'Immerse' by Berlin-based Blazej Malinowski. Blazej's 'less is more' approach creates peaceful oscillations that come to rest on the ears like a comforting blanket. Its dark ambient tones are paired with drone undercurrents for a pleasant journey into which the listener can drift freely and get lost into the depths of a calm midnight ocean.

'Zero Hunger' compilation is coming out on March 4th via System Revival recordings
