Founded in 2017, Mella Dee’s burgeoning Warehouse Music imprint has quickly become a favourite for many, serving up quality cuts across digital and wax from talents such as Spencer Parker, Leo Pol, Dance System and Cici, alongside the label boss himself. Following a brief hiatus, the label unveils the first release of its 2022 schedule as Liverpool-based pairing Matrefakt make their label debut following support from leading names from Solomun and Joris Voorn through to Patrick Topping and Eats Everything. Fresh from releases on Shall Not Fade, Sous Music, and Of Unsound Mind, their four-track ‘Action Reaction’ EP showcases the duo’s own take on the various shades of house and techno. "Fix Penalty" showcases a groove-driven, rhythmic workout fusing dubby stabs etched with crisp claps.

Italian duo Subradeon team up with Radio Slave’s Rekids to deliver four illuminating cuts entitled ‘Walking Through Motown EP’.

Beginning their musical journey in Southern Italy over a decade ago, the now Berlin-based duo Subradeon have been building steady momentum by releasing a handful of EPs on Detroit’s Motech Records, trau-ma and their own Subradeon Records label. Gradually honing their soulful productions with an emphasis on
Detroit techno – the duo quickly caught the attention of Rekids label boss Radio Slave. They now join the reputable Berlin imprint with ‘Walking Through Motown EP’, closing the label’s 2018 to follow lauded releases from Sebo K, Markus Suckut, P.Leone, SRVD, Nocow, and many more accomplished names.

‘Walking Through Motown (Part 1)’ is an uplifting track with mesmerising leads and swirling synths combining to create ethereal atmospheres before ‘Walking Through Motown (Part 2) offers beautifully resonating kicks, undulating chord progression and melodious synth flutters. On the flip, ‘The Law Is Spiritual’ maintains the symphonious spectacle balancing inspiriting vocals, rattling percussion and a weighty bassline whilst ‘We Will Still Resist’ employs fluid drums, looping piano keys and euphoric elements to finish.

New York City based imprint HOMAGE continues to deliver raw and upfront electronic sounds from up and coming talent, the imprint released the debut EP from now hotly tipped artist KETTAMA and most recently released the critically acclaimed debut EP from Will Hofbauer. Here we see the label welcome Dublin, Ireland based artist DART onto its roster, yet another rising talent making waves on his home turf and further afield across the globe.

‘Raided’ opens the release with thunderous swinging drums, twitchy synth sequences, bumpy bass and rave-tinged strings to perfectly set the tone. ‘Only The Strong’ follows next, retaining a similarly rave-tinged aesthetic via a hypnotic synth hook, shuffled percussion and rumbling subs while female vocal hooks flow amongst the sturdy groove.

The two remixes make up the B-Side of the release and X-Coast’s ‘Da Vibe Mix’ is up first, reshaping the original with an uptempo trance-leaning twist courtesy of choppy, filtered synth licks, organic percussion and pulsing low-end bass line. Dixon Avenue Basement Jams regular Big Miz then rounds things out with his take on ‘Only The Strong’, opting for squelchy 303 licks and dusty dynamic drums alongside the originals lead and infectious vocals.
