My name is Professor Eallien and I will be your 6th-gen HumanMaschine guide and assistant today. If you have any questions, please use your touch-to-touch net augments to ask me a question by placing your fingertip on my palm. My model supports multiple local net conversations at once if you choose to augment your reality. Or if you want an auditory conversation, feel free to walk up to me and I'll gladly assist you. If you take a look at our 3rd floor along the walls, you will notice our banners emblazoned on the walls: the rod of Asclepius, a snake winding and coiling up a staff. If you take a closer look, you will notice the staff is brown, symbolizing the wood of the old oak tree that use to populate NAFS terrority, now extinct in the wild. It reminds us of our Earthian roots. The snake however is black and drawn mechanically. That's because believe we are on the forefront of the next human revolution. 

Our banners inform you that on the 3rd floor, we care about your health, biologically and mechanically speaking. Guests will have access to our state-of-the-art medical facilities, including nano-docs that eat away at cancer without the gut-wrenching hell of chemotherapy, trained doctors, nurses, and HumanMaschine attendants, the Dispensary for your medical and recreational needs (VIP guests will receive free access according to daily restrictions), and our own brand new NAFS Scientific-Council approved augmentation lab. Increase your memory and storage capacity with our new iBrain compatible chip storage, and become a compendium of knowledge, remembering everything with crystal clear quality! Boost your visual, auditory, and tactile acuity with a variety of bionic arms, legs, hearts, muscles, and organs. Heading towards the right, you will see the entrance to a massive hangar and dozens of repair bays. Professor D. Klark runs repair and salvage operations here along with hundreds of human, exo-solar, and HumanMaschine disciples under his tutelage. They learn the craft and get down and dirty with the machinery. There's always something that needs fixing around here and just because it's broken you don't throw it away, don't you agree? 

If we continue down this passage, we have the vehicle compound, where our guests may borrow many of our vintage land based luxury vehicles including diesel and gasoline vehicles. You may also, with supervision of our HumanMaschine assistants, try our a variety of military vehicles for a test drive and live firing! Have you ever felt the shockwave that flows through you when you fire a heavy plasma injector from a grav-tank? It's quite the treat!

Part one, a four-on-the-floor, no-nonsense techno number titled Scorched Earth Policy, built from the ground up to push the tempo and energy of the room to the next level. Although simplistic in format, the razor-sharp synth line creates an air of urgency and angst, with an equally punishing kick drum that holds it all together.

Part two, a free download by the name of 'Weekend At Nik's', is a cut of brutal industrial electro named after one of his close friends. Influenced by the likes of The Prodigy and illegal warehouse raves, mixed with high energy thrash, the track is as fun and energizing as it is punishing.

Weekend At Nik's

Pig&Dan signal their first solo outing on Drumcode since 2016, with a stirring four-track work.

The duo stands as one of electronic music’s most prolific artists, shapeshifting between different shades of house and techno over a 15+ year period, all the while displaying a startling breadth that’s ensured their enduring demand. Their relationship with Adam Beyer has solidified over the years, first impressing with a debut EP ‘Mexico’ in 2016, before collaborating with the Swede himself in 2017 for the fantastic four-tracker ‘Capsule’, a notable highlight. With their contribution to last year’s A-Sides compilation ‘La Bruja’ one of the strongest of the bunch, their return for a full-length EP is timely. 

Title track ‘Infinity’ is rave-infused stadium techno crafted to perfection, driven by an undulating melodic lead that builds to a tension-packed break, before the chords re-appear and propel the track toward a trippy finale. Vocal cut ‘Losing Part of Me’ is momentous, with punchy bass and pin-sharp percussion juxtaposing superbly with the emotive vocal and laser-kissed melodic touches. ‘Terrax’ is propelled by woozy synth leads that escalate in intensity, before unexpectedly dropping into a series of soothing synth interludes, before slamming back in with purpose. The EP concludes with ‘Plex’, as a brooding melody line is paired with pumping percussion for an atmosphere-heavy finale.

Two contrasting remixes of ‘Space Date’ come courtesy of Pleasurekraft and John Monkman, as the three-way collaboration between Adam Beyer, Layton Giordani and Green Velvet continues to thrill. Joining the strong reworks is an unexpected treat for fans; a last-minute inclusion of a fresh new original track from the trio.

Drumcode got its first taste of Pleasurekraft’s unique production touch in 2016 when ‘Dopefield’ dropped on ‘A-Sides Vol.5’. The Swedish/American duo’s exploration of cosmic techno realms made them the ideal candidates to re-work ‘Space Date’. Their contribution is as visceral as they come; defined by a hypnotic vocal arrangement, a stirring call and response melody and propulsive galloping beats fashioned for peak-time moments. No surprise it was a highlight of Adam Beyer’s Ultra Resistance sets and gobsmacked Maceo Plex who requested a promo to play at Time Warp a week later.

Meanwhile Drumcode debutant John Monkman steps up with a very different, but not less deadly reinterpretation of ‘Space Date’. The Brit has impressed in recent times with strong releases on Ellum, Kompakt and his own Beesemyer imprint, and takes this form into DC207. His is a twisted intergalactic re-rub drenched in warped electro, blistering modular sounds and touches of IDM that manages the difficult task of taking the original to darker, more leftfield realms without ever losing its powerful dancefloor pulse. 

A new collaborative work ‘Data Point’ joins the pack, only completed by the trio of Beyer, Giordani and Green Velvet in late May in time for the Drumcode boss to drop it at IMS Dalt Villa during the sunset slot with Ida Engberg.

Techno phenomenon Amelie Lens is gear up to deliver 'Hypnotized' - another masterful EP filled with peak-time weapons set to land on June 28 via Second State.

Ahead of the three-tracker's release, Lens has handed over rising Belgian duo Joyhauser's remix of the title track. A gabber-inflected tune with an anthemic rave feel to it, Joyhausers relentless rework is beefed up with iron-pumping apexes that will send shockwaves through any dark warehouse it may find itself in.

Earlier this year, Selective Response released his first music to the world, scoring a premiere on the coveted HATE channel on YouTube. Both Scorched Earth Policy and Weekend At Nik's were clear indications that the California Native was not messing around, with searing hot techno and electro straight out of the gates. 

Fast forward to now, and "Malicious Intent" picks up exactly where he left off. A huge kick drum urgently carries the track forward, while a gritty arp slowly builds throughout the track, with percussive and vocal elements weaving in and out. As things progress, the madness continues to build, until finally reaching a breaking point in which all the built-up tension explodes into pure, unadulterated peak time raving insanity.

Premiere: Selective Response - Dark Dimension [Crisis Of Man]

Earlier this year, Selective Response released his first music to the world, scoring a premiere and support on the coveted HATE YouTube channel. Both his last single-track releases ‘Scorched Earth Policy’ and ‘Weekend At Nik's’ provided a clear indication that the California Native was not messing around, with his powerful, industrial driving productions. No doubt, a new name for many, his productions have already had early support from Amelie Lens, Dax J, I Hate Models, Perc, and more. 

Wasting no time since his last release, 'Malicious Intent', the Dimensions EP marks the birth of his brand new label, Crisis Of Man. Kettle drum kicks with disturbing off-kilter percussive knocks and eerie atmospherics are found in ‘Dark Dimension’. Growing in menace the main synth reveals itself amid a flurry of acidic flourishes. Moody and industrial, its powerful dark energy grow relentlessly with the break serving as a brief respite.

Overdriven kicks and sparse percussion provide the drive-in ‘Gravitational Lens’ as call and response nuances add a layer of interest before the main synths take full control. Energetic sonics grow in density over the break whereby the full power of the track is unleashed.
