Galaxy 82 is a new alias from Scotland; forging a new sound to which you may reminisce of a bygone era, waiting around phone boxes trying to work out where the nearby rave was happening. Galaxy 82 reflects on this time with their debut single ‘Equinox’ featuring J Farrukh.
Working under a new alias, Galaxy 82 has been an active producer in the dance scene for many years, kicking off their career back in the early 90’s and has secured major label deals with past projects. 

This track is an expedition of rave. Dripping in authenticity, ‘Equinox’ captures the greatest decade of dance - the 90s. It’s layered synths, zestful bass progressions and fluttering electro tinged melodies make for electrifying listening. The unquestionable powerhouse vocals of Joy Farrukh [J Farrukh], are on display throughout this rave voyage nestled expertly between the breakbeat rhythms and syncopated staccato piano. Choruses of reveling ravers break into a cacophony of cheering and shouting before a dynamic hip-hop breakdown.  
‘Equinox’ by definition describes the point of time where the plane of the Earth’s equator passes through the geometric centre of the Sun’s disk. These moments are a rarity, much like this track

Limbo Records, an iconic progressive house label which emerged from 23rd Precinct Music - an independent record store in Glasgow in 1992. Founded by the effervescent director Billy Kiltie, Limbo spent the majority of the 90s supplying ground breaking dance records; inspiring, cutting edge music from the likes of Havana, Gypsy, Mukkaa and Sublime. Fast approaching it’s 30 year anniversary, Limbo Records still stands as one of the UK’s most prestigious electronic labels. A recent rejuvenation in 2020 has catapulted Limbo back into the limelight with support from Radio 1 tastemakers Pete Tong and Danny Howard while also charting at No.1 in Music Week’s Upfront Club charts. Whilst the label has attained new branding, new artists and a new label team, it’s driving passion for delivering quintessential top-quality progressive house stands true to this very day.

Do we ever have enough of uplifting breakbeat? The type that overloads on hope and outpouring happiness? 
Based in Porto, Portugal, Rave Child is off to an exciting start with the new label and event series, Kokölò. True “to move forward” meaning behind its name, the label ethos focuses on a specific mood or state of freedom rather than a particular genre. 

In the inaugural ‘The Birth’ EP,  no-face-entity Rave Child captured that feeling of a soul discovering the dancefloor for the first time with all its naivety and joy. United in the use of breaks, and chopped voices meld with dreamy melodies, each track on the three-track EP takes on the unique, nostalgia permeated sonic gradient. Mastering by Vril and Andreas Lubich, aka Loop-o, make this package easy not to miss. 

Feel like a kid again on properly induced euphoria aka the album’s opener ‘It never was.’ Daydreaming at the heart of playful lights and colors, beaming to a point of galvanized innocence, getting loose in some utopian infinity; this track lifts spirits and launches moves like nobody watches. Do we ever want to have enough of it?

On this EP, the Japanese artist demonstrates the intention with which he comes to this moment, sublime melodies and hypnotic, highly emotive atmospheres.
All the tracks begin with broken rhythms and galloping mystical mantras, gradually opening into a shimmering dawn, and as his chants embrace you, the mist rises into a shimmering cerulean sky.

This artist is here to stay in Annuna, he is already one of our family, we hope to enjoy him for a long time.

Soma’s sonic wizard SLV makes a welcome return to the label with the Letter From Mars EP. The Italian maestro has been busy of late between his tireless work on the extensive Soma Sample Pack library to various personal projects and once again delivers 3 expertly produced and hard-hitting tracks.

“Gardens Of Anxiety” opens the EP at breakneck speed and continues to up the tempo throughout with direct, concussive percussion and distorted stabs that create rhythm. 

“Vision Revelations” continues to show SLV’s high-end production skills as he works in a crafty, ominous synth hook that gives the track a fuller body. 

Final track “Umami” closes out on a particularly groove-orientated note seeing in which SLV keeps the pace set high but once again incorporates twisted stabs that give the track a dark tonality.

Black Fancy makes his Hottrax debut this July with ‘M.M.M.’. 

A longstanding resident for Insane Event in his hometown of Parma, Black Fancy’s groovy rhythms have taken trips on labels such as Suara, Deeperfect and Whoyostro. For his next voyage, the Italian DJ and producer sets sail on Jamie Jones’ Hottrax with his funky two-tracker ‘M.M.M.’. 

Pumping basslines, energetic stabs and playful rap samples fuel the driving lead track ‘M.M.M.’, before electronic bleeps, loopy lyrics and snaking percussion combine over vibrating low-ends in the zesty finale ‘No Stoppin’’.
