Balans welcomes back Swedish-born Staffan Linzatti for his second release on the Dutch imprint with Dividing in Two, an energetic two-track EP keeping consistent with the labels vision of delivering classic techno rhythms. ‘Dizziness’ opens the EP with a hypnotizing yet airy signal that captivates upon overture. Combined with a rolling bass and quintessential claps it is sure to enchant any listener. On side B, ‘Clarity’ takes a whole new direction opening straight into a full-blown kick and high hats that persist throughout the track.
A perfect follow up to 'View From The Collapsing Centre EP' (BALANS011) released back in 2013.

Starting their 2020 as they mean to go on, Brighton imprint Zulu Records have already started an onslaught of releases, supplying dancefloors with some of the freshest house sounds around. Spanish DJ and producer Coqui Selection is providing the latest beat ‘Work It’, a grooving, Ibiza-worthy house record that will get the place moving in no time.

Picking up huge early support, this one has already got a big thumbs up from Mark Knight, Steve Lawler, Sam Divine, K-Klass and many more.

Featuring a rumbling bassline and stomping backbeat, the foundations are layered up into vocal stabs, euphoric synths and seriously heavy drops. Plenty of percussion make this one a proper weapon for the dancefloor, a must-have in the record collection to get rid of the January blues.

It’s business as usual for Zulu, who continue to provide for the party week-in-week-out, make sure you get involved with this one.

Clergy has become synonymous with a balance of atmospheric and hard hitting brand of techno ever since 2014. The boss's own music has been key to that, with carefully curated releases from guests such as Dax J, Kwartz, Reflec and Cleric himself. Helping to make the label an underground favourite. ‘Clergy Visions 01’ sees Cleric invite an array on techno heavyweights to contribute to this compilation that’s mixed by the label boss himself.

Following on from their debut joint effort as Modern Doom, TESST and MSDMNR are back at it this summer with ‘Final Conspiracy’, a new six-track split that finds the pair delving further deep inside hypnosis-inducing sonic phrases and 909- infused rhythmic mantras. If you’re not familiar with TESST’s equally dynamic and texturally lavish musical multiverse, ‘Final Conspiracy’ makes for an ideal introduction.

Calling the shots on the A side, TESST dishes out a trio of natural-born consciousness-shifters, primed for extended use in both fluid build-up climes and head-on peak time climaxes, square-shouldered enough to bring dancers to a trancey simmer bar after bar. ‘Exit Where’ gets the ball rolling on a weightless, levitational note, laying maximal emphasis on subtle groove modulations and minimal, though impactful melodic tweaks. An acid-soaked earworm that shall scramble the crowds’ navigational systems without further ado, ’Never-ending Hole’ moves fast and haunts long after the needle’s hit back stationary mode. Rounding off that side of the record, hi-pressure roller 'Final Test’ ushers us into a blazing furnace of bleeping hysteria and hi-NRG pound that’ll leave your cheeks red and bones bruised.

Flip it over and here's MSDMNR ramming his way in badman style with the all- obliterating ‘Warped Arp’. Pulling out all the stops, it’s an evil hail of rattling echoed drums and train-like chug that preps to pour over and take the dancefloor by storm. A further straightforward piece of athletic dub tech, ‘Disturbance’ is the epitome of a passive-aggressive powerhouse igniter, fully geared towards blowing the winds of rebellion and notching up the heat no matter the hour of the day. Draped in dark droney folds and stealth envelopes, EP closer ‘Conspiracy’ makes for the very strain of dubbed-out deadly rodeo that works its poisonous hex slow but steady. Even stronger together, TESST and MSDMNR capture a snapshot of their craft at its most boldly burning and earnestly charismatic throughout.
