Montreal's Atroxx returns to Kraftek after a long hiatus with two collaborative-driven efforts. The first featuring Kraftek's own Pleasurekraft combines the chunky rhythmic canvas inherent in all Atroxx records upon which an infectious hook and vocal interplay for a proper dancefloor pleaser. The second track, featuring vocalist Jessica Zese, whose voice has graced the productions of Booka Shade and Moby, is a moody and darker number, but still packs peak-time punch. We are very please to present Atroxx's "Clarity" EP.

Today’s premiere comes courtesy of Greek techno producer Annē as she debuts on Mutual Rytm on the label’s second edition of the Federation Of Rytm compilation. Annē’s track is a deep and murky tool that showcases the producer’s ability to provide menacing rhythms while still remaining fully faithful to the groove.

SHDW & Obscure Shape and Mutual Rytm celebrate their first birthday with an outstanding 3 vinyl pack as their milestone tenth release to date and the second instalment of their Federation of Rytm compilation series.

German producers SHDW & Obscure Shape’s imprint, Mutual Rytm is the pairs most prestigious and cherished project to date. Through their vision and philosophy of music that champions “modern old school techno”, they have been able to display a wealth of aspiring, established & legendary producers who share the same values on techno.

For their 1st anniversary of the label they bring things full circle as they showcase their second instalment of the Federation of Rytm which follows the debut release from label this time last year. Ten records later and SHDW & Obscure Shape bring to life a new compilation which features 22 tracks: 18 cuts spread over 3 vinyls covered with the label’s neat artwork signature, and 4 digital bonus tracks.

We premiere ANNĒ‘s debut feature on the label with her track ‘Blind’ which is one of the darker shades of techno on the compilation as the Greek producer leans on cavernous percsussive textures, lurking vocal growls and infectious low-end rhythms. ANNĒ showcases her ability to supply high grade functional techno, that is frighteningly dishevelled yet totally alluring.

Tim Taylor is rapidly building a reputation for dark, raw and moody basement cuts, with releases on some of the most respected imprints in the game including Hot Creations, Deeperfect, Planet X, Revival NY and WhT NxT. 

It was only a matter of time before Tim made the natural progression to launching his own imprint...Raw Cuts is a new chapter and a home for his productions, giving Tim a space to experiment and showcase his inimitable talent. First up is his emphatic THE FUTURE EP. The release title track THE FUTURE is an 80's inspired cut. 

It kicks off with a textured intro before kicking into gear with powerful yet understated drums, setting it up for the '80s infused synth lead, swiftly traversing into another futuristic raw synth hook. The track builds throughout to an almighty crescendo on the second breakdown. All of this topped off with an ominous yet impactful vocal laced throughout. 

WAY OF LOOKING again draws on the 80's era, this time incorporating nu wave sounds with a 2023 twist. Early on, a funky arp sound lays the foundation the track progresses with lots of layered elements giving it depth bringing character to the record. As we enter the final breakdown, we encounter an outerworldly experience through the clever use of bright pads, tinges of acid topped off with chunky snare work a futuristic yet classic record to kick off the Raw Cuts imprint.

Premiere: Tim Taylor "Way of Looking" - Raw Cuts

'London’s DJ duo Hart & Neenan deliver the tenth release for Ben Rau’s flawless META label, and deliver a trio of hypnotizing and exquisite house tracks on the ‘Refused’ EP. 

 Glorious waves of tones wash over the swinging and tuff beats of ‘Around Us’, whilst a similar sound aesthetic is ploughed on ‘Free’, with a mesmerizing bassline anchoring a sci-fi inflected mood.  Title track, ‘Refused’, bangs hardest, with a bright and effervescing production that supremely seals this skillful release from Hart & Neenan. 

 Embarking on their production path some three years ago, the pair have released their collaborations on the District 9, Low Groove and Sanity labels, whilst Neenan also forged solo outings on label heavyweights Viva Music, and Kerri Chandler’s MadTech. '

Hart & Neenan - Sect [Do Not Sleep] - Premiere

Following a string of heavy hitting releases from Mark Reeve, Luuk Van Dijk, Sidney Charles, and Collective States, Do Not Sleep keep the pressure on with another must have release from the rapidly rising UK duo, Hart & Neenan.

Since their debut release in 2018 on Max Chapman's Resonance, the duo have featured on highly regarded underground labels Whoyostro, Distance Music, and Twisted Fusion building their reputation as future stars of the underground.

Now in 2020 Hart & Neenan have stepped it up, with heavily supported releases on Sanity, Under No Illusion and META with the latter reaching Nº2 on Beatport and amassing 200k + plays on Spotify.

For their debut release on Do Not Sleep, the duo deliver a four track EP with two originals and two remixes, from label favourite Sidney Charles, and Inmotion Music's LaRosa.

The title track 'Patience' features the excellent vocals of Elliot Chapman with Hart & Neenan creatively working the vocal hook over the top of the rolling bass, adding shuffling hats, and organic chord stabs to create a powerful grooving and infectious track. 

On the remix of 'Patience' is Berlin's Sidney Charles. Increasing the skip on the beats, he carefully adds intricate chord patterns in to a hypnotic deep groove weaving the vocal in tastefully.

The second original track is 'Sect', with warm and delicate filtering analogue chords, tripped out incidentals, and ever so slightly jackin' beats this is a high class B side. 

The remix of 'Sect' comes from NYC's LaRosa, stepping up the intensity with an increased bpm, more shuffle in the hats, and giving his version a more prevalent bass-line groove providing the perfect alternative to an already excellent B side.
