The HARDPROOF VA series returns with more techno from a mix of the next generation alongside the finest pioneers. 

Swiss artist Unconformist serves up 'Path of Light.' Driven by pounding rhythms and electrified with crackling synths, it brims with soulful glitches and an urgent, almost fatalistic energy. Then comes rising Paris-based talent Alys LF with 'Yesterday,’ which pits shimmering, bright melodies against a relentless techno backbone and the contrast grows ever more urgent.

LPV is a Sicilian who mixes up EBM, industrial, dub and acid. His 'Eclipsed Thoughts' is all tight synth loop with no resolution while thudding kicks and subtle percussion brings menacing funk. Another Italian, SLV, has been deep in the scene for a decade. His 'Argent Fracture' is a timeless, dubbed-out and heavyweight classic that fizzes with synth soul. Invexis is Munich's 20-year veteran Georg Köhler and his 'Celebrity Algorithm' is raw and rough around the edges with a snarling, distorted bassline. It's an anxious, high-strung groove. 

HARDPROOF VA09 is another irresistible collection of high-quality techno that bridges the past, present and future of the genre.

It feels quite surreal to say this, but Episode 03 of the Balearic London mix series is brought by none other than Italo house legend Don Carlos. Starting his DJ career in the late 70s, he is best known for his production debut 'Alone'. Widely known as the epitome of what dream house is, the track combines emotive piano chords, crisp percussion, and ethereal pads in what is beautifully floaty yet perfectly punchy perfection. Since then he's released more underground hits under his own name as well as his Montego Bay and Aquanauts monikers. He isn't just a legend of the 90s though, his releases in the recent years on Freerange Records, Utopia, Irma Records, and remixes on Wolf Music and more show that his music sounds as fresh now as ever.

Invexis is Munich's Georg Köhler, a 20-year veteran who shaped the early 2000s sound with classic cuts that are driving and dynamic. He is back on top form following his hiatus with 'Celebrity Algorithm', which is raw and rough around the edges with a snarling, distorted bassline. Its anxious, high-strung groove is detailed with caustic percussion and ghostly vocal fragments flicker across the mix to heighten the paranoid, pressure-cooker atmosphere.
