This mix is a tasteful blend of modern hard techno with a firm nod to the classic foundations on which the rave scene is built upon.

You may be familiar with TOXiK RavNGR and their previous work, but not under this name. The brain child of Melbourne DJ Aaron Rogers (aka Traction Engine aka Woodsman) This incarnation is past, present and future elements combined. Breathing new life into old roots.

I’ve said it for years, Aaron is one of the most underrated DJs in Melbournes rave scene. And a long time collaborator and supporter of our varying projects over the years, which we greatly appreciate 🙏🏻

Hey everyone.

Thanks for taking the time to listen to my mixes, hope you all enjoy, and feel free to download and comment wheather its good or bad. Im not a pro Dj, just a bedroom Dj as they would say, but would jump at the chance if it was offered to me. With my good old trusted Gemini PT1000s and a crappy Numark CDJ set up in house, it keeps me going and gets the job done.

As you can see from the varity of mixes ive uploaded i dont like to stick to just one style, anything from Hard Trance to Hardstyle and Hardcore to Techno and Gabba or as long as its got a hard and fast bassline or if i can push it to 180bpm or more i'll mix it, basically stick a pair of decks and some vinyl or CDs in front of me and i'll be happy for hours, even days.

About Me:
6head_slug is a Melbourne based hardtechno DJ/Producer/Promoter, who has been bringing his own unique blend of hard and funky beats to Melbourne's dance floors over the past 19 years.

The beat of the drum and his love for music has driven him from a young age, although It wasn't until 2004 when he brought a set of turntables and his first few records, did he realize that it was what he wanted to do with his life.

Since then he has been refining his sound, and pushing forward in the hope of inspiring others, preaching that 'you don't need to change who you are to fit in in this world...'

In June of 2008 he started "No sleep till bedtime..." A series of parties catering for the harder styles of dance music, which has since played host to some of of Melbourne's best local talent, and special guest interstate DJ's.

2024 sees 6head_slug more focused than ever, as he uses his [nstbt_podcast] series and digital labels to help push the harder sounds of techno in Melbourne, and to share the sounds of Melbourne with the rest of the world!
